In a related matter the deacons of Temple Baptist Church of Powell Tennessee voted unanimously to rescind the honorary doctorate given to Pastor John Wilkerson and request from the court a cease and desist order against Crown Point Baptist College for using any part of their college's name.

I probably am one of the few true hackers on here who believe that Bro. Anderson actually wrote this letter.

btw, Jeff Fugate is probably rejoicing right now that the name Anderson is not on the Commonwealth Baptist title.

Question is, how did you hear that he and Bro. Wilkerson were talking?

 
Pastor Wilkerson is accessible. He is transparent, humble and honest. Anyone can go up to him and ask him a question. My husband at one point recently asked Pastor Wilkerson about this business with the college / RA. It is true RA wrote the letter, it is true that Pastor Wilkerson is talking graciously with him about it. I don't know about the details of the latest conversation, but just wanted to put it out there that there is now much less of that  'veil of secrecy about everything' culture at FBC.

His former members from Long Beach speak of him as a close friend as well as a pastor. He was very close to his members there, I can only assume it is the same in Hammond. That should be an example to all the pastors that look to Hammond for ideas. Love your people, get to know them and be a part of their lives.

When someone asked him he mentioned they had talked a few times in the last few weeks with no resolution in view.

There was no mention of legal action against fellow Christians as has happened elsewhere.

Yes.

I think he meant that Fugate is probably glad that he didn't call the college Fugate-Anderson so that there is no such issue as HAC is facing.
 
Here is a point to consider.

Supposedly Russell Anderson has demanded that the Anderson be removed from the name of college in Crown Point, IN.

But what about Hyles Anderson College, Philippines?
And Hyles Anderson College, Ghana? These are ministries of FBC, do they have to change as well?
 
The new name is going to be 'Jack and Rusty's'. Sounds kind of like a gay bar.
