Now wait a minute, he has a beard so that eminently disqualifies him from Hacker status!

I call it passe. Postmodernism is on the outs. It's being replaced with some new silliness they haven't found a name for yet.

What they teach is so unorthodox and foreign to Scripture.

Kudos for actually going to an authentic emergent tsource... albeit one that other emergents have broken from for excessive liberalism.

Doug Padgett is still there, to the best of my knowledge.
Who, pray tell, is a more excessive liberal?
The purpose of posting that link was simply to make the point that the emergent movement isn't like the boogie man...it actually exists.![]()

I'm not that familar with Doug Padgett's work though I know the name. I see a few book titles of his that look interesting. I'll refrain from commenting until I've read one of them.
And yes, of course they exist. I belong to one of the flagship emergent churches.![]()

The movement is often hard to define, but seldom orthodox, IMO.
They simply push aside pesky doctrine, like Hell, which this culture finds offensive.
Can't be loving and offend the culture at the same time... :![]()
