Personally, I think most women are too emotional to be good leaders and make rational decisions for a whole nation, and this includes Sarah Palin. I think it's a bad idea, but I'm not sure I could back that assertion up with scripture outside of church leadership roles.

Then what is your basis for your opinion. Was Margaret Thatcher too emotional? In Angela Merkel?

Do you have problems with reading comprehension? Do you believe most =all?

Gee, I dunno. On these forums, I sort of get the impression that a lot of the men are too emotional.  :P

So those two are outliers? I'll grant that most does not equal all. But how many is most? And what is the basis for your opinion (unsupported by scripture) that most women are too emotional to be good leader?

I readily admitted my opinion had no scriptural support that I know of outside church leadership. My support is my own personal experience, which is why I did not state that it was an absolute biblical truth that all people must believe. If you want a female leader, then vote for them. If the only two choices are a pro life woman and an evil man, I will lament the horrible state of our society and vote for the woman.

I apologize if I'm coming across (or being) dense, but are you saying that in your experience, most of the women you've known were too emotional to  make good leaders, and that's why you don't think a woman should be president?

I only ask because your statement that you would "lament the horrible state of our society and vote for the women" makes it sound like you think there's someone inherently bad about a female leader.

Yes. That's my opinion. You don't have to share it.

You're right. And I don't.

But you shared it on a forum called the "Fighting Forum" so I'm just trying to feel out your position a little more and, you know, have a discussion about it.

If you don't want to defend a position don't share it on a forum that exists for the purpose of debate.

I don't have to defend an opinion that is based on my own personal experience and is not imposed on others as normative. There's no real reason for me to have to defend it.

Okay, that's fine. Just puzzled that you bothered to share it at all then.

The same reason we all share opinions.  Lighten up, dude.

Why are you judging me sharing my  opinion that I'm puzzled that Band Guy shared his opinion? :D :D

Opinions are like armpits....everybody has a couple and they usually stink!!

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!!!

As long as its not Hillary.... I'm up for judging each individual on their own merits. Good leaders know when to trust those around them and when not to. Good leaders surrond themselves with extrodinary individuals. Some of the best "bosses" I've had were women.

President. Yes. Leading the home family unit. No. This contrary to the Scriptures.

Works for me. So, can I have your vote then?  :-*
