SO NOW WE HAVE IT!

They were gullible/stupid, and you deceived them by asking for membership despite being an avowed and unabashed atheist.  I've said it early on in this drama, that you were right to turn the molester in to the po-po, but you didn't solicit membership for that purpose.

Church is all I have ever known, ALAYMAN.  I am not the typical beer-drinking, carousing, pot-smoking, devil-worshipping "atheist" most people think of.  I read and study the Bible extensively.  In that church I played the piano, the organ, and sang in the choir; sang specials.  What did I do that was so bad?  I saw a man misbehaving toward children and put my foot on his neck.  I didn't consider any belief-system when I did it.

I don't think of atheists in the manner you described.  That is a stereotype of your own choosing.

The measure of a man's character is not what he believes; it is what he does.  The measure of a man's morals is not he believes; but how he behaves.

Lying/deception/fraud is a behavior resulting from a belief.  I'm not trying to grill you, but if I find out somebody is intentionally deceiving me I consider that an egregious moral lapse, especially if it is a pattern.

Do they now know of your deception?

Why is everybody so concerned about me?  What about the cowardice of the leadership of the church who allowed a grown man to prey upon innocent girls?

There is not a bone of manhood among any of you.  Cowards all!

I'm sorry, but I have no idea how you construed my question to be about you.  This "church" learned a lesson about a child molester which is good.  I'm wanting to know if they learned a lesson about just letting anyone join their church.

If you'll PM me the name/phone # and a contact at that church, I'd like to call and talk to them about this.

Yes, we demonstrate daily. We get up early, go to work, come home, spend time with our children and spouses, respect our neighbors, obey the law. I encourage everyone to join.

WHAT?!?! Obey the law? Why, you ain't nuthin' but a common anarchist. Next thing we know, you'll be advocating for us helping old ladies cross the street and be respectful to our elders.  :o  :o  :o

Well, I only represented myself as having been a public school teacher.  I had met Shane [the principal] on the DRHC FB page; so he knew that I had graduated from HAC.  Shane had attended a Youth Conference, and he and his dad took a class or two from Westmoreland's school in Memphis.  When those two found out about my FBC and HAC connections, they made all kinds of assumptions.

I was only interested in teaching in the school, which I did.  What is wrong with that?

And I attended the church.  What is wrong with that?

That's a group, by description, I already belong to...if there ever becomes a formal membership I just may join...though I'm not much of a joiner.

Neither the school or the church had any written requirements for those who they employ or those who join?  And if they did...did they require that a personal faith in Jesus was required?

LOL!  This just gets better and better.  You attended FBCH and attended HAC and graduated?

So when you applied you had to answer how long you had been saved and then write a personal testimony of your salvation experience.

So you lied to them or are you lying to us?  Or both?

It sounds like you enjoy being deceptive.  If you're not careful, you might end up in prison one day....or have you already been there?  Don't want to assume anything based on your posts.

Shoot, if you'd be that deceptive to a group of people.  Why should we believe anything you tell us?  You could be lying to us, as well.

You must have had a rough childhood or something.

I feel sorry for you; however, part of me wants to throw up.

I've been fortunate.  I have a brother who is a detective, and my father was a relatively honest man.

I remember Route 70 from HAC. He can correct me if I am wrong but I believe at one time he said he was honestly a professing Christian at the time he was a student at HAC. The atheism came later in his life. If that is the case, he wasn't lying at HAC at the time but has since had a change of direction/belief.

On 5 occasions, I dealt with child molesters.

Of course, the police were involved. Some spent jail time, some I referred to police.

Only one came to full repentance. However, the entire church took action in all of these cases. The victims were treated as victims and given spiritual help and protection. Only 2 of the molesters (1 convicted; 1 not yet) are in churches today. One is doing quite well in a different church than the original molestation, but their world has become smaller (tightened restrictions) than the victim.

One of my children was a target (among many others). You cannot work in a sizable church and never expect to have to deal with this from time-to-time.

So now you have spread your rumors and innuendo [here].  You are still gossiping about an unnamed church and unnamed school. You inferred the principal was involved with minor girl without any proof.  You are spreading gossip and you need to repent.

The self-righteous Route_70 can stuff it. His approach is actually, immoral. He wants to get glory from a tragic situation from people he never met. What good comes from that?

The self-righteous Route_70 named names, and even wrote the entire episode and published it on a public blog for all to read, unlike the petulant FSSL.

Can you give us an example (not naming any persons, of course) where you enacted this plan involving a child molester?

Having a problem following the discussion, Route_70?

The discussion is not about you... I was addressing Smellin's question.

Okay, then address my question:  Whom did you out?  What was his/her name?  What is the name of the church?  How did you out them?  Did you catch them red-handed?  Did you personally report to the police?

Remember, according to Ransom, posting anonymously is the same as lying.  So until you can give the names, I say that you are a liar.

First, he doesn't need you to answer for him.

Second, (oh my) how does he have a "change in direction/belief"?

Pass the salt for the popcorn, please.

Logic is difficult for you. Smellin' asked me a question for a completely different purpose than you. An answer to his question did not demand that names be given.

For me, I've had a major "change in direction/belief" since I left Hammond. Granted it isn't to the extent Route 70 has taken, but enough to be considered a heretic based on the theology of Evangelicals. Why should I deny that assumption of him?
