OK. Just to appease you, even though I didn't vote Dem...
The totally phony Susan Rice story, explained
Based on what I have read you are correct, Trump Tower was not specifically wire tapped for the purpose of investigating him. All of his phone conversations were already being monitored by NSA and Obama's people just requested access to it. They also unmasked the names and spread the info around Washington like it was grass seed. Susan Rice & Evelyn Farkas have admitted that a great deal of information was gathered through normal NSA programs and that an attempt was made to get the names of all the people involved unmasked (Masking is the process by which the NSA and CIA are supposed to keep U.S. citizens names out of intelligence reports or at least keep the name secret in all reporting) and to disseminate the info as widely as possible throughout government and on the hill. When U.S. citizen?s names are unmasked the information is normally very limited in who see it. In an interview Farkas stated they were trying to "get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration" and they "became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open and I knew that there was more. We have very good intelligence on Russia," she said. "So then I had talked to some of my former colleagues and I knew that they were trying to also help get information to the Hill." These actions are not only very unusual and not standard procedure, they may be illegal. One thing is for sure, the Obama white house acted improperly with or without the president knowing it.

This also raises questions on just how much info the NSA keeps on all of us and who has access. Trump was wrong about wire taps but was correct that they were listening to all his phone conversations. Splitting hairs I would say.

The big media papers were using the word "wiretap" at least one week before Trump even said it.

The New York Times changed the title on their piece AFTER Trump got nailed for using the word.

Like sword says, it really is a potatoh/ potato issue.

2011 surveillance, by the Obama admin, has increased surveillance of EVERY single phone call, email and text. When Susan unmasked Trump's (and his staffers names), it became a warrantless surveillance issue. Illegal.

If Trump acted illegally regarding Russia or in any other way I want it to come out. Since Obama's people have admitted the NSA trail goes back over a year, I find it unlikely any evidence of illegal activity exists.

I also want anyone in the Obama White House who broke the law regarding unmasking and broadly disseminating information within the government about Trump and his campaign to be lose their security clearance and be prosecuted if warranted.

Third I want to see an investigation of anyone in the Obama or Trump White House, or elsewhere, who may have leaked classified information to the press to be tried and sent to prison.

Fourth,  I would like to see a non-partisan special investigator appointed by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence to examine all aspects of this case and to recommend to the Senate if charges are in order regarding the leaks or any actions of either administration in this matter. We need to put this behind us for good.

Last, during the yearlong investigation, I want to see the Trump Admin. do the following;
1. Confirm Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch
2. Fund and build as much of the wall as possible
3. Revise and get a budget passed
4. Cut taxes on both corporations and the middle class
5. Expel every last illegal alien who has committed a violent crime
6. Expel every last illegal alien who has committed a felony
7. Reduce unnecessary regulations
8. Renegotiate NAFTA and other bad trade deals
9. Restrict corporate tax inversion tactics and repatriate the $2 Trillion stashed overseas.
10. Rebuild America's infrastructure
11. Bring jobs back from overseas
12. Repeal and replace Obamacare
13. Give the Secret service his phone and get all his tweets approved by his press secretary.
14. Fix our infrastructure and invest in projects that will last at least 50 years.
15    Begin the process of overhauling immigration policy and help those we want as citizens to get legal.

Sorry. I have been in Cincinnati watching the Phillies and Reds. You picked a non-starter here.

Now here's a post that makes sense!  Go REDS!

If my memory serves me right, the reds have not been to the World Series since 1990.
This could be your year, Go REDS!

Not a Reds fan but seems like yesterday we watched Jonnie Bench playing.

One of the great days in my baseball life was watching Roy Holladay no hit the Reds in the playoffs. My third major league game in person and the first that I saw the Phillies win in person was August 2, 1969 against the Reds. I remember Bench playing. He was 21 at the time. The game was at Connie Mack Stadium. Phillies won 5-3.

I don't think this is the Phillies year but we have an incredible farm system with a lot of good young talent. We will be back in the WS in the near future.
