The Car “Kill Switch” Controversy

While preventing drunk driving is a noble goal, I very much dislike laws such as these. The current legislation might not allow the government to remotely activate a kill switch in a vehicle, but eventually, we will get there. Same with legislation that would require tech to prevent speeding. Forced compliance in one area opens the door to forced compliance in other areas.

Agreed.

More progression to a "Nanny State" where invasive surveillance measures will be peddled as being for our safety and the "greater good."

Big Brother is watching you and there will be no place to hide. If you deviate from our prescribed societal norms, we will cut you off and you can just starve.

What are you talking about? Our government has our best interest in mind. You people have issues, seriously.

Imagine going through life believing that a government would be involved BEHIND THE SCENE of pushing for this.

You conspiracy theorists are really something, you know that?
