A couple of weeks ago I was watching a video of a well known basketball star saying things that didn’t reflect reality and was shocked to find out that what I was watching was a complete lie. I looked more closely at the channel which was “DangerousAI” and realized that they now have the ability to take any personality and make an artificial clone so realistic that no one can tell the difference. I watch quite a bit of Voddie Baucham and found out that his image and voice has been cloned by AI to the point no one knows for sure if that is what he is really teaching or if some of his words have been altered to deceive his real teachings.
I remember not long ago when people were warning about the dangers of AI and completely shrugged it off as being nothing more than paranoid. I no longer believe that. I was watching a YouTuber who put out a video on why he has switched from his written physical Bible to an electronic one with many of the comments made below it agreeing with him. If they can take a real person and make it impossible to tell the difference between him and an AI generated clone how easy would it be to take the Bible and subtly change key words or delete certain words to support a false doctrine?
This comes down to how easy would it be for Satan to use something like this to bring about the great deception that Jesus warned about in Matthew 24 and what Paul talks about in 2 Thessalonians where he says there will be signs and lying wonders to bring about strong delusion to deceive the whole world? I don’t want this to degrade into shouting back and forth about different views of prophecy. I don’t agree with some of the things Vodie Baucham teaches about the last days but his preaching of the gospel is as clear as anyone I have ever listened to.
