Definitions are important things...there could be several definitions for the same thing...I will share one & you all can share yours.  It doesn't have to be defining the same thing as I have.

Here we go...

ISLAM.... A false religion started by a demented false prophet demanding people worship a demonic false god.

I like your definition just fine!  Worshiping anything besides the one true God is idolatry...and satan worship.

there we go...I said it...im ready for my oncoming attacks now  *ducks down and covers head*

Definitions are incredibly important b/c if the person to whom you are talking has a different understanding of the term than what you have then your entire conversation is going off the rails. I almost always begin my messages or series of messages by plainly defining the main term I am going to use. For the life of me I do not understand why more preachers do not.

Agreed...I do the same, because clarity is not always achieved by the word alone.  Too many connotations.

A pet peeve of mine is that people (in particular anti-Calvinists) define Calvinism as "what Calvin taught", or even worse, "what followers of Calvin believe".  And then they bring in infant baptism and the "murder" of Servetus, as if that has anything to do with Calvinism.

"Calvinism" is just shorthand for the doctrines of grace as taught by the Bible, Augustine, Luther, others, and eventually Calvin, too.

In addition, when people call someone an Arminian, they're generally referring to a soteriology that has little or nothing to do with what Arminius taught.  I get the impression that people who believe in free-will don't even know what Arminius taught.

Calvinist = liar.  :D

Lies and more lies. The "Doctrines of Grace" have nothing to do with Calvinism. You Calvinists love to blur the lines and pretend Calvinism isn't anything more than a commentary on the Scriptures.

You've done the exact same thing the Jew did with the Talmud. You've taken a commentary and promoted it to be equal with the Scriptures. Nothing but lies.

You might want to study a little about the Talmud. Maybe you'll notice some similarities..... You know.... Woe to them that call evil good and good evil? This is where it all begins. You blur the clear lines between the Scriptures, ITSELF, and those who love to twist them with endless commentary seeking to ultimately change them.

Generally speaking. Yes. Expect when a Calvinist doesn't want to be associated with Calvinism by calling them the "Doctrines of Grace".

I love the way that people who are not part of a theological system, and evidence the least knowledge of it, are always the one who claim loudest to be its foremost experts.

To what "evidence" do you allude?

Sadly, of your expertise, there is a scarcity of evidence.
