The "quick brown fox" is the most famous pangram, i.e. a sentence or phrase that uses all letters of the alphabet.hmmmm.... is that what it was all about?.......
It was originally used to test telegraph equipment in the 19th century, but is also useful as a typing or writing test, or these days, displaying font samples.
