The "does God learn" thread has got me thinking...

Evil is a necessary consequence of creation itself. I thought that was kind of profound.

How is it necessary? I will wait on determining the profundity of the thought.  ;)

Because anything that God created would be diminished from the perfect standard that God is. It actually fits quite nicely with a classical (e.g. Augustine and Aquinas) understanding of the nature of evil that would say the measure of evil is defined by how far removed from God the person or action is.

Who are you fooling???

You believe everyone is good. Well.... everyone but me!!

Maybe better question is.... how do good and evil coexist in a creative action of God. You certainly don't understand the mind of Augustine.
