I didn't see where our fearless leader threatened to ban anyone on this thread...and Al wouldn't sign here under a different name but there would be a few clowns here who would start a 2nd account here and pin it on Al. But that's just me.

You've heard of "suicide by cop?" We have a deranged living soul trying to get me to ban him.

Thanks bro, and you're 100% correct.  I ain't ever trolled, nor had more than one account, and I've always posted under ALAYMAN, never any other name.  Of course there are jokers and losers galore on here that have character lower than pimps. Ya know how people accuse preachers of preaching on topics that they personally struggle with (Swaggert, Haggard, etc)?  The same sort of thing is prolly true of those accusing me of what they would like to do, or have already done.

My net access has been severely limited for about a week now,  but I think I got it figured out tonight. I owe Aleshanee a couple answers on another thread, and I'll try to get to that tomorrow night.

Alayman, FWIW, I never thought you were Prin.Ciples.  I haven't quite decided just "who/what" he is, but he's definitely not "you".

You folks have no sense of humor.

On the contrary, when Prin.Ciples agreed with me that theology played a role in people losing the faith, because they were persuaded by someone else's theology to adopt their religion, I thought it was a hoot that he seemingly thinks I said something profound, rather than obvious.

What role do you believe "theology" plays in turning people from their religion to the point of abandoing the faith altogether?

The answer would be relative. Some move away be being persuaded through science. Some through frustration. Some through being burned by a church or pastor. Some through rebellion. Some through the reading of the Bible itself.

Ransom mentioned earlier in the thread that one simply adopts another theological viewpoint when persuaded. Perhaps that is true but in my journey, I have found seeming inconsistencies between what Christ actually taught and what is being believed/lived by Protestants and Evangelicals.

If anything, perhaps Ransom is right in that people left the teachings of Jesus to follow the theology of Paul. ;)

Cool! Whereabouts?
1/2 hour from Birmingham.

Been threatening to get to Pensacola, not sure if we will.

A couple of ministries need work done.

One had meth heads steal their copper,
The other just set a new modular, and needs a porch.

I have a friend building a church in Pensacola right now.

Good travels! Let me know if you get closer to paradise!
