a tsunami advisory was issued last night after a volcano erupted near tonga... and then shortly after that
tonga was hit with a series of tsunami waves.... some areas here on oahu were upgraded to warning level
and may experience changes in sea channels and higher than normal tides / waves... mostly west shore and
waianae side with a wrap around effect possible on the waimanalo side... . no reports yet of injuries on
tonga... tonga internet service was lost... but the first video showed waves washing into neighborhoods...
...tsunami action caused by volcanic like this can go on for quite a while......
according to the pacific tsunami center map shorelines on the northern california coast... candian pacific
coast.. alaska and the aleutian islands could also be effected..... the map below shows more details....
