Turn pagan Halloween into an Opportunity for Witnessing

Interestingly enough, studies have shown time and time again that the methods you described above are not effective.

How are they not effective?

And what studies are you exactly referring to?

Effectively impacting someone in such a way that they change their personal beliefs requires real involvement in their life. Generally, this occurs as they watch your, often from a distance. If you live a life of sacrifice, humility, grace, compassion, dedication , patience, submission, kindness, joy, perseverance, and love, then people are attracted to you, and likewise, your message.

Well there are circumstances and times in a Christian's life where he does have the ability to develop a close acquaintance with someone and to have some involvement in that person's life. But the truth of the matter is, that is not always the case. Many people if not most, are selfish. And people In general with their busy schedules don't like the idea of taking time to invest in someone else's life with a genuine care for that other person's well being. They rather keep the friends they have always had, and just keep to their own circles of affiliation.

And yes, there are people who are watching our lives and seeing and observing how we conduct ourselves as Christians. Which is why it is so important that we maintain our testimonies before a lost world. With so much pop culture Christianity going on in these last days, very few people get to see what true, Biblical Christianity is all about. And I agree that a Christian's life should involve sacrifice, humility, grace, charity, temperance, and basically all those other qualities which you mentioned above. Again, it comes back to a Christian's testimony and how he conducts himself.

Can a Christian lead a lost sinner to Christ by how he conducts himself in business, how he maintains his integrity and testimony as a Bible believing Christian? Absolutely. I am all for personal witnessing. The very fact that we are exhorted as Christians to maintain our testimony is proof that our Christian lives and our actions do have an effect and impact on the people around us.

But to say that street preaching, Gospel Tracting, holding Gospel Signs and Banners, Door to Door, and so forth is not effective is simply wrong on your part.

Do you not remember the account of Noah, and how he was a preacher of righteousness? (2 Pet. 2:5).

Let me ask you, how many souls were won by his preaching? How many were convinced to turn from their sin in repentance?

The only people that were saved by his preaching were his family members.

Now was Noah effective and successful from a Biblical standpoint? Yes he was. He was very effective biblically speaking. Why? Well because Biblical success and effectiveness is not measured by large numbers.

The world and Business marketing determine and define success and effectiveness on how much of a large crowd you have following you.

But again, the word of God, the Bible way of Success is how faithful and dedicated to God and His word are you???

Although Noah did not have any converts outside of his family; still though, Noah was found faithful and was even listed in the Heroes of the Faith in Hebrews 11:

Hebrews 11:7 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

It can be a display of minutes, for example when you grab burgers and go have lunch with the bum on the corner. But it is actionable and requires legitimate effort on your part.

Tract bombing (and the equivalent with bumper stickers) along with everything else you mentioned  does nothing to accomplish this, and worse, cheapens the Gospel to a sales pitch to buy vacuum cleaners Jesus.

Tracting and those other methods which I mentioned does not cheapen the Gospel at all.

All those methods which I referenced serve as a grave reminder and warning to the lost world that there is Judgment to come and that they must be born again.

With Tracting as well as with all the other methods which I referenced, these soul winning methods have two types of categories which they come through.

Now just considering the Bible method of Tracting for example, the two categories of Evangelism are these: Evangelistic Tracting and Accountability Tracting.

Evangelistic Tracting is when a person finds a Tract on their car windshield, pick it up and take the time to read it and after considering what it said concerning the Gospel and their need of Salvation, they get converted, and are saved. That right there is a good prime example of what Evangelistic Tracting is.

Now Accountability Tracting is when a person sees a Gospel tract on their windshield, and instead of opening it and reading it, they just tear it up and throw it away without ever having a look at the Gospel message. That right there is accountability Tracting. Although he did not read the Tract, he still knew in his heart deep down what it was, and so it will serve as a witness against him at the Great White Throne Judgment. When that lost sinner is standing before God Almighty and trying to come with excuse after excuse, he can never say "well no one warned me." Because God will show him that very evening where he had a chance to receive the Gospel when a Christian labourer had planted that Gospel tract on the windshield of his vehicle, but he would not look at it.

Evangelistic Tracting will always be hard to do in places where people have become very hardened to the Gospel. IN places where people are so hostile toward preaching and the Gospel, a Labourer in the Gospel will only be able to get Accountability Tracting done in that very region.

One other thing Rsc2a,

we as Christians are to take any opportunity we can to witness to the lost. And we just do not have enough time to develop a close friendship and relationship with every person we seek to win to Christ.

That is why we must utilize any Biblical method of evangelism that we can use.

If you are at a restaurant with your family and eating out, when you leave that waiter or waitress a good tip. Also leave him or her a Gospel Tract.

How do they preach a false gospel?

This tract appears to teach the Ransom to Satan theory of the atonement. If that is what Chick believes about the Atonement, he is a heretic.

Do you support Chick? Then at best you are an ignoramus, and at worst, you share his heresies, and therefore will share his fate. Repent, and believe the true Gospel.

As everyone knows, Halloween is quickly approaching. Why not make this night a soul winning event?

You can with Gospel Tracts.

Soul-winning as slacktivism. No effort required! Just drop a comic book in their pillowcase. You don't even have to engage with them!

What the Hyles did Paul know about soul-winning, anyway (Acts 17:2, 17; 18:4,19; 19:8,9; 24:25)?

Ransom, Gospel tracting is just another effective way of reaching the lost with the Gospel. There are several things that a minister of reconciliation can do for evangelism. He can street preach, hold Gospel signs and banners, he can place Gospel bumper stickers on his vehicle, he can go door to door and witness and minister that way, he can also mail out cds and dvds with the Gospel Message, he can wear buttons on his shirt that displays the Scriptures which declare the Gospel message, or he can pass out Gospel Tracts.

See, there are plenty of ways that a man or woman can evangelize and reach out to the lost. Can a Christian do more than one method of evangelizing? Sure.

Yep, all those apostles standing around Palestine holding signs.  ::)

Have you ever thought about actually talking to someone? Becoming their friend? Helping them in a time of need? Most people will "hear" the gospel in a cup of cold water louder than from a bull horn on a street corner.

Without YouTube, Bibleburner wouldn't know how to talk.

We need to start witnessing to bb. He is lost. Not that he isn't saved because I think he is and is a sincere follower of Christ. However, I think he is just as sincere a follower of petey!

And if you wish to know what kind of a background I came from, I was a sincere Christian who also happened to be a loyal follower of jack hyles. (lower case letters intended) I would have defended, and did on occasions, him to anyone. But, facts are stubborn things.

..................

how about making a tract with some pictures of yourself burning bibles..... plus a few links to your wacko videos about everything from michelle obama being a man to elvis presley being more evil than hitler..... .... then see what kind of converts you draw in with that.....

you are right about how it all comes back to a christian testimony........ but you are wrong in assuming you have one........

BOOM! There it is!

The Bible believing brother of mine in that video where he burned the NIV, he was justified In doing so. Why? Because the NIV is a wicked perversion. It is not a real Bible. It is a Satanic bible. It is more wicked than Anton LaVey's perversion.

Well concerning the Michelle Obama video; there were apparently a lot of people who were deceived by it; I already admitted that I was duped by it, since I know that I am fallible just like anybody else I will be quick to admit where I am wrong.

And concerning the video about Elvis Presley being more wicked than Hitler,  Well I suppose that can be debated. Hitler was very wicked. That is clear. But so was Elvis Presley. Elvis Presley led the way for the wicked and hellish rock n' roll to become popular and mainstream in North America and most likely in other countries as well. Elvis Presley's influence among the youth was far reaching. There is no telling how many souls have been DAMNED to the Burning Hell due to the wicked music of rock n' roll.

aleshanee, every Christian has s testimony.  And it is either a strong one or a weak one.

Because book burners are Nazis, and the evil works of darkness is what Nazis do.

Wow. You do realize that admitting to be as stupid as the rest of the Youtubers doesn't make you look intelligent, right?

Wow...until tonight I wasn't aware that being a complete idiot like BB, was consider a testimony!

I have talked with people about their souls. And I have began by showing myself friendly to them.

That is where outreach in the streets and also going door to door comes in.

Also, I have helped others in their time of need. Not to boast or anything. But I was able to help them by the grace of God.

People hear the Gospel just as effectively with a street preacher who preaches using a loud-speaker/megaphone.

People can be reached a number of different ways and I already showed that in an earlier post.

And if you do a good deed for someone like giving them a cold cup of water or a warm bowl of soup on a winter night, then yes, be sure to also share with the Gospel.

Well then by your logic, I suppose that you would consider those in Acts 19, who brought all their curious arts and books together and burned them would be "Nazis," is that correct? Is that what you really believe?

Scott, what are you talking about? I read that whole Tract, and did not see where it supposedly teaches what you spoke of.

Anyone who consders the NIV the moral equivalent of a witchcraft book is STUPID beyond measure. That means you, Bibleburner. Seig heil!

That's because you're ignorant, blind, and have the theological literacy of a kumquat.
