Up here in the frozen tundra, this is the biggest thing in sports in many moons.

I have never been a college sports guy mostly because I never went to college and it seems silly to get all attached to an institution that you have no connection to. That said, my sympathies usually would run to the Spartans if for no other reason than they were the perpetual underdogs. Then the big block M went into the Rich Rod / Hoke(y) tail spin and "the" game lost most of it's luster.

This year I find myself torn. Jim Harbaugh is doing amazing things in AA with Brady Hoke's recruits and doing it way ahead of schedule/expectation. Dantonio has the old school sour puss mug and a string of dominance in the rivalry. I like both coaches.

Not sure who I will cheer for but I do hope that they make a game of it.

Earnestly Contend

The number of  days since the team up north beat the Bucks.  :D :D :D :D

2926, the number of days between that victory and the previous one.  8)

:P

In all seriousness, I'm glad they're back, because goodness knows the Big10 needs some respectability these days.

You're right, Ohio St.-Michigan has gotten a lot more interesting with Urban  Meyer and Jim Harbough at the helm. Should be very interesting when they meet at the end of the year.

Going to Camp Randall tomorrow for Badgers game. I truly feel sorry for all the rest of you! :'( :'(

Interesting indeed.  I was glad to see RichRod and Brady at the helm.  As soon as they said Jimmy was returning to take the reins I got a little nervous.  But it sure will rekindle the rivalry again.

I truly do get your jab, and don't totally dismiss it, but I think the Big10 may be a little stronger (top to bottom) than they've been in years past.  There aren't any of them gonna contend as an elite school for the playoffs, but Northwestern and Iowa might surprise you by the end of the season with their win total and bowl performance(amongst a few others).
