On Wednesday, The United Nations General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to hand over half of Jerusalem, the Wailing Wall, The Temple Mount, Old Jerusalem, and the tomb of Jesus Christ to the Palestinians.​

I do not know how the end times will play out but I am convinced God did not preserve the Jews as a people despite being scattered abroad for over 2,000 years just to see them obliterated! They have gone through some horrible things but God has been with them through it all. There will be a remnant who will "Look upon him whom they have pierced!"

I stubbornly remain historic pre-millennialist as this was the position of Paul and the rest of the Apostles!

Why would that be? 'Israel' is in open rebellion against their King...just as stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart as their fathers (if indeed any Jew today could trace his lineage back to any of the ancient Jews). What makes them any different than Iran?

The big difference is that Israel just wants to live in peace and to be left alone. Don't mess none, won't be none!

Everyone else around them wants them to die and have been rather vocal about it. I think it is right proper that they be allowed to defend themselves.

Somewhat a republic for now, but a democracy is not the final destiny they seek, and the reason they insist on that particular piece of real estate is anything but secular.

Anyway, I was trying to tease out the old Zionist they-occupy-by-divine-right mantra.

But Israel dropping a nuke on Iran is not far from goal of the UN action. They want that region completely destabilized.
