1972 the recruitment of youth began through the HAC.

The church began to produce it's biggest numbers AFTER HAC.

He was using bogus numbers before it was the IFB way.

When JH came to Hammond in '59, FBC had an auditorium that seated 1,000.  In 1964, FBC built a 2,000 seat auditorium, 5 years before Elmer Towns' book.  That auditorium was filled from the very beginning, even having two Sunday morning services when HAC began.

I don't disagree that the college students helped increase the numbers greatly by working in the ministries.  I am trying to tell you that FBCH was a large ministry (for that time) before the college students ever arrived.

And then it began to have exponential growth off the labor of the young people from around the country while the actual membership faded out and the church fell apart.

This is exactly what happened.

The local people were trampled in the stampede.

I still remember sitting in the Auditorium on Sundays during the Invitation, listening intently to every name that was called, listening for someone from the local area. One name!! From Hammond, E.C., Gary, Highland , Munster, Griffith, Calumet City, or Lansing.
When we started Bible Clubs, the names started coming, but where were the neighbors of all these HACkers who moved here, settled here, and lived in The Region?
I remember introducing my neighbor, on a Wed. night, that I had recently led to the Lord, and realizing that it was the only such incident that year.
I started pointing this out to my fellow HBers ( we were on staff together by now).
I could tell this story all day...

If he had done it in the last 10 years, instead of the more free and easy 70s he would have been.

That's not what he posted.

I know he had JH but I am not aware of any accusations of underage immorality on JH part.
I guess I am not following the conversation very well. Sorry my old-timers is showing.
