I read someone asked about the Keetons. They joined a church in Midwest city, Ok.

I am not a member of Windsor, or the church the Keeton's have joined.

I do wonder how many missionaries sent out/supported by Windsor have received the support? I know Mark & Karri Lockhart have not received support in 4 months.

Are other churches unaware of the latest scandal and just blindly sending in mission money only for it to be pocketed(?)

How many churches will/have drop support for "yedidim of Israel"?

I know one church plans on continuing the support despite knowing that the money they are sending in for missions is not being distributed properly.

Which Keetons are you referring to?  Tony or his parents.

Were you ever a member of WHBC or just an outside observer to the "kool aid drinking IFB's"?

Tony & Laura Keeton.

In good conscience I would never join Windsor, and I'm not a prior member.

Well that is a very good and understandable thing.  Monotone Tom would make you smash your head against the pew in from of you and pray for sudden death!!

Sounds like the Keeton's joined Open Door Baptist Church.

Someone's thoughts on why JV retired.

"Yep, you are on the right track as to why Jim "retired" to pastor emeritus which is another name for I put someone in the pulpit that I can order around. You see, the evidence of his perversion via counseling had been brought to light so he along with Bill Johnston chose Jim's long time yes man, Wayne Porter, to be his puppet in the pulpit and leave his mission in Mexico.

When that went south, Tom was quickly called to replace Wayne and relinquish his calling to Africa.  I know I know Jim always said God doesn't change callings but sometimes Jim does it for God. Correction...most of the time Jim does the calling and recalling for God or should I say regardless of what God thinks.

Anyway, the point is Jim has always needed someone close to him in the pulpit so his gross misuse of money and his affinity for shocking girls, ladies and even guys by his abusive counseling would be covered by the "anointed man of god" he cleverly placed in the pulpit. All the people who are fleeing Windsor now like a rabid hyena is chasing them, seriously need prayer because for many years they have been controlled by a man posing as a pastor."

Sadly many will move on to another church with the same controlling type leadership. It is all they know and will be drawn back in to it.  Years under a control freak leaves one afraid to be anywhere else.

I hope they can take their time before joining up with another church.  They really need to make sure before they join.  Ask lots of questions and sit back and listen to the response.  If you can't ask questions, look elsewhere.

Also, if they are associated with WHBC in any way....RUN to another church as fast as you can.

And this is the reason why I am not a member of any church whose pastor/staff is (currently/formerly) affiliated w/ Windsor. I'm smart enough to not give blind allegiance to any man just b/c of their name, or who they know.

Is this the Porter whose son was killed? I remember two different Porter families that were missionaries.

Yes Wesley Porter was Wayne's son.

Wayne Porter is now the pastor of China Lake Baptist Church in California.

The other Porter is Jeff Porter missionary to Africa.

It is the same Porter their oldest son died in a car accident.

JAV changed his mind and wanted his boy Tommy as the pulpit puppet.

Wayne never had a chance to make it despite JAV calling him off the field of Mexico to try.

The main reason he left was because of his 2 out of control boys. They caused alot of trouble in the school and college. It was the first time that I saw the Deacons put their foot down. He realized he couldn't keep them under wraps or simply sweep their problems under the rug so he left.

There is a lot of truth to what JustABigKid said in terms of Wes and Jered.  I fully agree but I think it was even more of a factor that Tom was in a predicament in Africa and had been called home by JAV.  The puppet master had Tom heading up the missions work at Windsor and saw Waynes boys trouble as an opportunity to move Tommy Boy in to power.

JAV had much more control over Tom then he did Wayne.

All of the above thoughts are just my opinion of course.

Open Door Baptist Church in Midwest City is where Jack Hyles came to preach in 1991 along with Jim Vineyard. Traffic was backed up at an all time high as people from across the southwest region wanted to come here the "Pope" preach.

Since Keeton is there now, is he on staff or just a member?

My guess would be just a member. The Pastor Andy Busch used to teach at OBC. Although he taught there he is nothing like the Vineyard's. His church is not that big so I would think he would need more staff.

I highly doubt he will add "staff". Yes they may join in a ministry and start helping around the church but the only "staff" that Bro. Busch has is himself. Everyone else volunteers to include his own kids. And while they may be small there is definitely a better spirit when attending church there than WHBC.

The fact that he stayed so long and looked the other way makes him seriously suspect in my book. Any credible man would have walked away years ago. Hazewinkle immediately comes to mind. He got out at exactly the right time.

He just taught one class up there at OBC he was not a staff member so there were probably many things that he was not aware of or left out by the staff members or maybe he just minded his own business.

I can see your point on the suspicion but I know the Busch family and they are nothing like other WHBC or OBC members.

A pastor from another church can only do so much at another pastors church. I am not saying this is right or wrong but just the way it is.
