There are other stories also in the Bible like Shadrach Meshach and Abendnego.  They ate Pulse over the Kings meat and were healthier because of it.

God blessed them with health because of their faithfulness in refusing to assimilate, not because of their dietary choice. You lie again.

Wrong dead flesh eater. The point was that they ate pulse and not some other "godly" meat. They were healthier eating the food God designed them for. Your to addicted to eating meat to see it.

The Passover Meal was not vegan, and Jesus ate it with His disciples. He cooked and ate fish with His disciples. It is just silly to proclaim Jesus was vegan.

Christ ate bread and never ate an ounce of meat. Judaism was/is a pagan godless religion.

Again, you have no biblical evidence or any other evidence for this statement...only your own inane presupposition.

No different than you. You presume a great many things too. Yet my presumption is back by those that are fit and healthy. Your camp is choked full of over weight, and very unhealthy people. Theses are verifiable facts. Are Gods people so mentally weak that they won't give up something that is clearly making them sick?

Watch the movie "What the Health" for more info.

Already shown you that your statement is false concerning "my camp"...already showed you that biblically you have no leg to stand on.  You want to be vegan, good for you, but you have no evidence to declare the same about Jesus, as a matter of fact just the opposite of what you say is clear in the Scripture.

You have not disapproved that my verses are not saying  what I say they are saying  only that they are not conclusive. There are other stories also in the Bible like Shadrach Meshach and Abendnego.  They ate Pulse over the Kings meat and were healthier because of it.

Yes they did...because the meat the king offered them was unclean, both in what he offered them and in how it was prepared...and it would cause them to be disobedient to the Lord to compromise in eating it.  You again prove nothing concerning being vegan...hey, but keep moving the goal post and you may find something. Hey how about just quoting Gandhi?

You can keep trusting your "perfect" scripture if that's what makes you feel better. You can't prove anything in them is true or false because you refuse to allow the Spirit to guide you. God made man to eat vegetables and fruit.  To eat meat will result in poor health. Your no exception. Lots of skinny people have heart attacks. The studies show a 50% reduction in those that go vegetarian and 75% for those who go vegan. Its a fact that meat will cause an early death  and a myriad of other health problems but you just keep eating it. I'm sure God hands out brownie points for those with blind "obedience".

You. Spiritually weak people hardly think of themselves as weak.

Paul identifies the weak as having religiously based hang ups over the food they eat.

But of course, you don?t like Paul, so you chop him out of your Bible. Which, at this point, seems to be able to fit on a 4x6 index card.

And now for the truth: "Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food" (Daniel 1:8). Daniel was definitely concerned with eating ceremonial unclean food that would have defiled him. Some meats were unclean. Not all. Daniel's concern, according to the Word of God though not God's enemies, was uncleanness rather than nutrition.

Oh no, it's way more than one index card. And yes, Saul was a murderous liar whom the early church figured out long ago.

We see how that Hebrew Roots thing workin? for ya! You reject the Bible, consider a gospel-bearing apostle a murderous liar and you cannot enjoy bacon or a Ribeye ?

We have a saying in South Alabama ?Stupid is as stupid does.?

It's wonderful to be able to understand the gospels and the salvation message delivered to us by Yahshua.  Once you see it there is no going back to the Moloch approved flesh eating Christianity.

Yes I will keep trusting my perfect Scripture and the teaching of the Holy Spirit...rather than some unidentified gnostic on a forum. It is clear to everyone but you that you are an arrogant Bible corrector who knows neither the Word or the Author of the Word.

It's funny to see that Hooper can transliterate the name of a Cannanite god properly, but messes up Yeshua!
Moloch incinerated people.
I bite into a slighty-charred ribeye.

There is nothing spiritual or scriptural about not eating protein found in meat...

12 ?I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ?At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.? ?
13 That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp. 14 When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. 15 When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, ?What is it?? For they did not know what it was. Exodus 16:11

Weak physically and spiritually.

So John the Baptist and Christ are weak?

Love for you to show us where you get this information.

Isaiah 7:15
Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

Matthew 3:4
And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

The "locust" was the bean from the locust tree, not grasshoppers.

Says you that the locust was a bean rather than a grasshopper...pretty convenient even if it is not faithful to the language used in the Scripture. And your quote of Isaiah 7:15 proves nothing about whether or not Jesus at meat.  But nice try.

Most modern scholars accept that it means locusts and not locust beans. It wasn't unusual to eat locusts then and there either. In the middle east they are a delicacy. Locusts are also a more complete food than just locust beans - they contain iodine,  phosphorus, iron, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and 50-60 % of their body weight is protein. There are also traces of calcium, magnesium and selenium. He would have lived well on them having the energy to do what he did.

This is what carob locust beans have

You'd be better off eating baby cookies than that.

For those of us who believe the Bible, the word ?locusts? (from Greek akris ) only means an insect. It never meant anything else.

In fact, in Lev 11.22, there were more insects allowed in their diet.

BDAG, ?the widespread notion that the ??. were carob pods (St. John?s-bread; so TKCheyne, EncBibl s.v. ?husks?) is supported neither by good linguistic evidence nor by probability?

I'm sure one of the godliest men  to walk the planet was eating insects like an animal.....I love the term "modern scholars". Nothing will make me laugh harder than some college taught graduate believing he has the slightest clue to what truth is.

You consider yourself a Hebrew Roots and you don?t know Hebrew.

Why is it so difficult to understand that Hebrews ate katydids and locusts when Lev 11.21-22 even says so.

?There are, however, some flying insects that walk on all fours that you may eat: those that have jointed legs for hopping on the ground. Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket or grasshopper.?

Don?t let your disdain for education show. It is embarrassing. If you have linguistic evidence that akris (translated ?locusts?) means anything other than the insect, please convince us.

Hey those weren't actual insects that jump, but in reality they were Mexican jumping beans! :o ::)

The book of Leviticus is full of Pagan practices. And as I mentioned, there is not a well defined Hebrews Roots doctrine. There are many differences of opinion.  My similarities stem from my belief that the nation of Israel and the church are one in the same through out history.

It is fascinating watching you use the same line over and over again... "that's not in the Bible, that's pagan!" when you use scissors to hack up the Bible, I hope you do not run around with them!

You still have not addressed the use of the Greek word akris in the NT.

Do you know the Greek language?

The ONLY time a locust bean (carob) is mentioned in the Bible is when the prodigal son wanted to eat the carob thrown out to the pigs. That is an entirely different word.

This thread further highlights Hooper?s approach. If he doesn?t like what he hears, his reaction is to say that part of the Bible is pagan.

Unfortunately, his approach reveals the true pagan among us.
