Wearing Your Sign

I have never believed a mask was necessary for this "pandemic." I don't even believe this would qualify to be a pandemic. If you go back throughout history and see what the TRUE pandemics were like, you'll find that there were many more deaths than there have been caused by the C-19 virus. The only time I wore a mask was when the hospital or doctor's office went into a tizzy because I didn't have one on. And even then I made sure I said something about the ineffectiveness of masks for this virus. I finally got a policy changed in my ENT's office by being an outspoken critic of the way this whole situation had been handled. The doctor told me he agreed with me and felt it was about time he spoke up to his partners and affected a change in the practice. The next week there was a sign on the door of the practice stating that masks would "OPTIONAL" for people who visited or worked there. Many of the people who worked there thanked me for speaking up, and for the way I handled a patient who threatened my wife and me during the visit the previous week. I've never been rude about speaking up on the subject, but I have been firm.

Masks were never about the science.

I actually agree that especially for people sharing an indoor space over a period of time masks probably aren't that effective. But at the end of the day politicians need to say they did something so it was part of their "doing something"
