Well Look Who Has A Huge Gas Find!

I agree that was interesting, but if I read it right Iran still has exponentially larger amounts of natural gas reserves herself. It won't make Israel any more coveted, for the nations around her are relatively energy rich themselves, and they hate Israel for ethnic/religious reasons, not resource reasons. It will, though, help Israel immensely along the path toward energy independence.

For the most part I agree Tom...but could this not also, if it is large enough, make it so the rest of the world wont have to be so dependent on the Arab states and that could cause them to act against Israel for that reason?
 
I read the article, and the find isn't that big. Not to mention that the US, at any rate, is moving in the same direction of energy independence herself and so can resist energy driven pressure. OTOH, China is a whole 'nuther story in that regard.
