II Thess. 2:3-9 "...Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God....And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now [hinders] will [continue to hinder], until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders..."

If the Great Tribulation cannot begin until the Beast, Antichrist, man of lawlessness takes the scene then this passage describes the trigger for the initiation of the 7 year tribulation period which concludes with the return of Christ.

That trigger is the removal of a specific entity ("...he that hinders...").  Who is this entity? What is the "falling away" that precedes the removal of that entity? How do we positively identify it?

"he that hinders" - the son of perdition, who'll then be killed ("taken out of the way"), resurrected and possessed by Judas Iscariot.

"falling away" - apostasy.  Just visit any NEW iFB church with lights and a fog machine and rock music and you'll figure that one out.  Every age in the Bible ends in apostasy.

The word for "hinders" is the same word that is translated "retraining" in verse 6. By comparing the two words, we know that this "hinderer" or "restrainer" can be spoken of as a thing or a person. In the Bible, the Holy Spirit is spoken of in both tenses . The only power presently on earth that can restrain the Devil and his demons is the Holy Spirit. Ever since Jesus established it, the church been the only organism that can, through the strength and power of the Holy Spirit, successfully defeat Satan and his forces. I believe "he that hinders" is the Holy Spirit.

The falling away describes those who once attended Pastor's School at FBCH, but no longer do.  As to who...It changes.  It has been many names.  You would have to go through the archives of "The Defender" to figure it out.  Or you could contact Tom Neal and I'm sure he would be happy to fill you in on who the leader of the falling away is today.

But....there's no longer a Pastor's School.

Which is why we know the rapture must be soon.  The number of necessary IFBs to stay the hand of God's destruction on this Sodom will soon be below the necessary limit.

Or....God will have to rely on the Lutherans.
