Why are sexual predators attracted to churches?

Know nothing about the author, but this is best article I have ever read on the subject. These are also some of the same reasons that hirelings like The Real Felon, pastor marty and little jack end up in pulpits.

Tim Challies is a Toronto-area pastor. He's well worth your time to read, as he's one of the best Christian bloggers out there.

I agree that this was a very good article.  I'd also add a #7 to his list: Churches that don't know how to react to or prevent sexual abuse. Unfortunately, a few decades ago a lot of churches (of all stripes) just swept child predation under the rug - my own church included, unfortunately - and they may be a little slow out of the gate to implement measures to prevent it (screening volunteers, etc.).
