Its not about dressing like the "world". Bill Clinton wears exactly what you wear and we all know what he did.

While it is true to a degree that lust isn't all about how one dresses, still though, the Bible commands us to be separate from the world, and its fashions. We are not to conform to the world, or its wicked system. Plus, the Holy Bible also teaches Modesty in dress.

And you completely ignored his point. There is no shortage of worldly, evil men operating in it's wicked system who wear a suit and tie.

Sure there are.

That is why it is important to deal with your heart first, make sure that you are right with God, and then work on your outward appearance. A Christian should work on both, starting with the inward part first (Matt. 23:25-26; Lk . 11:39-40)  .

Why do you conform to them? Why do you refuse to separate from the world?

I barely ever wear a suit and a tie. As a matter of fact, I think the last time I wore an actual suit was several years ago.

So God isn't important enough for you to dress up for?

Don't expect him to live by the same standard he demands of others!!!!

A crock of over generalized tripe...you are still an idiot!

No, the information provided is the truth. It is factual.

Rock music is of the world. Rock music is all about rebellion. And if you don't see that, then you are either as blind as a bat when it comes to discernment.
Says the idiot with the great powers of discernment about the gender of the First Lady. Oh the irony of the Idiot!

There are still a lot of people who think that Michelle (the "first lady") is actually a man.

I suppose that video was rather convincing. But when I find out that there is an error of judgment on my part, I correct it.

Now let me ask you something you apostate.

Now if you know rock music is as wicked as the devil. Do you support it (whether religious or secular)?  And if you do, then why?

Why would you ask an "apostate" anything?  Not sure you even know the meaning of the word, and if you do, would you please provide evidence to the forum of anything I have said here that rises to apostasy.  Not sure you know what Rock music is either...nor can you prove a particular genre of music is "of the devil"....any more than the type of music you listen to or use in your church.  I don't "support" any genre of music, but thanks for asking.  Now, we shall wait until your next visit in  a couple of weeks to provide proof of "my apostasy".

God is very important. The question is are you really dressing up for the Lord, or to be seen of men?

God looks upon the heart, while man looks on the outward appearance.

Now could you can show me a chapter and verse in the Holy Bible that supports the tradition of 'Sunday Best'?

Rock n roll music is of Satan because rock and roll is all about rebellion against God and His word. The very roots of rock n' roll can be traced back to African Voodoo, and that is a documented fact.

Furthermore, I'll let the musicians who play the music and the fans who listen to it declare the obvious truth that their music is of the Devil.

"Rock has always been THE DEVIL'S MUSIC . . . I believe rock and roll is dangerous . . . I feel we're only heralding SOMETHING EVEN DARKER THAN OURSELVES." (Rolling Stone, Feb. 12, 1976)

"I'm the devil's advocate. We have our own worshippers who are called 'groupies.' Girls will give their bodies to musicians as you would give a sacrifice to a god." - Rocker Frank Zappa (Peters Brothers, What About Christian Rock, p. 17)

"From the first, this music has felt like an attack on the institutions [marriage, the family, the church, etc.]—and that was what it was attacking . . 'If I told you what our music is really about, we'd probably all get arrested,'-  Bob Dylan told an interviewer in 1965.

It is a music that won't stop, and it won't leave us alone. It speaks through the body and invokes the spirit."—Michael Ventura, "Hear that Long Snake moan," Whole Earth Review, Spring 1987, pp. 28-43; and Summer 1987, pp. 82-92.

" . . . I'd kill my mother for rock and roll. I WOULD SELL MY SOUL." - Bon Jovi (Smash Hits Magazine)

A Slayer fan writes in Spin magazine (May 1989):

"I hate your God, Jesus Christ. SATAN IS MY LORD. I sacrifice animals for him. My god is Slayer. Its THE WORDS of their music I BELIEVE IN."

The group Manowar, sings in "The Bridge of Death":

"Dark Lord, I summon thee
Demanding the sacred right to burn in hell . . .
Take My lustful soul
Drink my blood as I drink yours . . .
LUCIFER IS KING
PRAISE SATAN!"

The group Sad Iron, proudly sing their praise to the devil:

"We all praise the devil
He is so fine
We all praise the devil
Till the day we'll die!"

The group W.A.S.P., who proudly admit W.A.S.P. stands for We Are Sex Perverts, sing in "Sleeping in the Fire":

"Taste the LOVE,
THE LUCIFER'S MAGIC
That makes you numb
You feel what it does and you're drunk on love
YOU'RE SLEEPING IN THE FIRE!"

During their concerts, WASP would throw hunks of raw meat out in the audience and young people in a demonic frenzy, would actually eat the raw meat like a wild animal! On the back of their album reads:

"The gods you worship are steel,
AT THE ALTAR OF ROCK AND ROLL YOU KNEEL."

One of the most popular groups in rock is AC/DC. In the song, "Hells Bells", they sing:

"I got my bell
I'm gonna take you to hell
I'm gonna get ya
SATAN GET YA"

Their song "Highway to Hell" they sing:

"Ain't nothing I would rather do
GOIN' DOWN, PARTY TIME
My friends are gonna be there too . . .
Hey Satan, paid my dues . . .
I'm on the way to the promised land
I'm on the HIGHWAY TO HELL."

Now do you see how wicked, vile, filthy, putrid, disgusting and satanic rock and roll music really is??

So when you judge another person's attire it is because you know that they are being worldly but no one can judge your attire because God looks on the heart. Got it. You are a hypocrite.

1. I have never heard of most of those people so their influence is/was pretty limited.

2. Your quotes are ages old.

3. What does any of that have to do with CCM?

4. You are an odd little man.

But even so I think that I should be kind to you and share a nice song with you.

Bob Dylan? Bon Jovi? AC/DC? Your grandparents loved 'em!

Or possibly hated 'em, if they were persuaded by an identical anti-rock sermon 40 years ago.

Yes I have heard of them. But not WASP, Manowar, Michael Ventura (Jesse yes, Michael no).

I want to know how BB found a working floppy drive to get to the files he cut and pasted from.

It always amuses me when these "satanist" rock n' rollers are quoted by the extremists like Bible "Believer" as if they are the gospel truth. How can we trust such "satanists" with anything???  The truth is most of this stuff is pure marketing by those wanting to be the "bad boys" of rock 'n roll and all the notoriety and more importantly the $$$ that goes with it.  Pure marketing.

I don't recall ever hearing of W.A.S.P. but that really isn't my kind of music anyway. The name may stand for what you claim (or are you stealing ideas from David Cloud) or not but I remember in my youth being told by the youth pastor KISS stood for "Kings in Satanic Service".  I had never heard it before nor several years thereafter.  However looking it up on Snopes you will read the following: (Highlights are mind underscoring the points above).

But, as KISS bassist Gene Simmons explained in his autobiography, the rumors were . . . just rumors, even if the band didn't exactly go out of its way to discourage them:

{M]isinformation about the band began to spread in the southern Bible Belt states, including a rumor that the name KISS stood for Knights in Satan's Service, and that the four of us were devil worshipers. Ironically, this rumor started as a result of an interview I gave in Circus magazine after our first album; in response to a question, I said that I sometimes wondered what human flesh tastes like. I never wanted to really find out, but I was curious intellectually. Later on, this comment seemed to ignite the whole idea that in some way KISS was aligned with devil worship. When I was asked whether I worshipped the devil, I simply refused to answer for a number of reasons: the first reason, of course, was that it was good press. Let people wonder. The other reason was my complete disregard for the people who were asking. Through the years, whenever religious fanatics accosted me, especially in the southern states, and quoted the Old Testament at me, I would quote them back chapter and verse. They didn't know that I had been a theology major in school. An idiot is an idiot ... whether he quotes the Bible or not."
