I believe it is our responsibility to support good, King James Bible-believing ministries when we wish to purchase study materials. I also believe that it is wrong to give your money to people who claim to be Christian, and yet openly support Roman Catholicism.

I will boycott ANY professing "Christian" catalog that sells pro-Catholic materials. Berean "Christian" stores, and "Christian" Book Distributors both sell materials from the enemies of Jesus Christ!

BB, I am a KJV guy, but here is my issue with the general theme of this. So, I agree, (although I don't receive the Berean catalog, but I do CBD) that most of what is in there has no value. Here is my rub with a boycott.

I like Starbucks coffee. At a youth conference, I got the gears from a Youth Pastor who was boycotting Starbucks because of their pro-homosexual stand. I see this as sort of the same. It lacks consistency. I am good with you boycotting, IF you are consistent. Stop shopping at Wal-Mart, eat only at places like Chic-Fila, never buy a Bible from Word or Zondervan, never buy a suit from a questionable clothier, or gas from a questionable supplier.

The problem is, we hobby horse. That brother was in no way going to tell his wife to boycott Wal-Mart, the favourite stomping grounds of IFB wives, but he maintained his view on Starbucks. I switched to Dunkin-Donuts while I was there, and bought my Starbucks when I was leaving.

I use a Local Church Bible Publishers wide margin, and I like it, but I am not gonna fight and die over it.

I understand that there needs to be and should be more consistency among the brethren when it comes to stands which we take. I do see your point there. And there are retail alternatives to Wal-Mart. Just as there are Coffee Alternatives to Starbucks. And just as there are internet browsing alternatives Mozilla FireFox and so forth.


It is one thing when a brother in the Lord simply does not know any better, but it is important for him to work with the truth which he has been given and to adjust his Christian life and walk accordingly.

TB, Jack Chick and Peter S. Ruckman have done a lot for the Lord. They are great defenders of the word of God. And they are warriors for the Cause of Christ.

Only the Judgment Seat of Christ will truly reveal how much these two godly men have done for the Lord. And how many lives they have impacted for eternity.

Both brother Jack Chick and Brother Peter S. Ruckman have done plenty for the Lord. They have served the Lord well by the Lord's good grace.

Peter Ruckman is a strong defender of the word of God (King James Bible) and Jack Chick has done an excellent job of exposing many of today's cults (i.e. Roman Catholicism, Jehovah's Witness, Mormonism, Jesuits, Alexandrian Cult, etc.).

They have been used of the Lord. And all the glory goes to the Holy Spirit. God and His precious word gets all the glory. It is like I said before. They have done plenty for the Lord by God's good grace.

By what objective measure?

Have you considered the amount of books, other written material, that brother Ruckman has put out?

Just consider the amount of different subjects which brother Ruckman has preached and teached on. He has written commentaries, has done many Chalk Talk sermons, has given out tracts, has done street preaching and still does street preaching! All Glory be to God.

And he also has exposed a lot of the heresies that are being taught in many pulpits today.


Likewise, brother Chick has written articles, and other materials exposing cults and false religions. He also has dealt a great blow to the Jesuits and the Roman Catholic church. Also has plenty of material on the Bible Version Issue, has written many Tracts in order to reach the lost with the Gospel.
