This time infinity.  People like FSSL, ALAYMAN, T-Bone, etc., shout with pride how they adhere to scriptural authority while picking and re-interpreting scriptures to fit their personal outlook on how things should be.  They give lip service to the authority of scripture in order to support their self-righteous pride, but scripture isn't their final authority at all.  The worst part of it all is that the way they interpret Paul contradicts the clear words of Christ, and somehow they think that's okay.

Wait a minute. Not one of us EVER says that Paul was lying about being an apostle. THAT is not a hermeneutical problem. That is a rejection of Paul's words altogether.

Is this true?

Your explanation changes nothing in what I said...Paul  calls himself elsewhere an apostle,  he doesn't need your validation to make it so...he is speaking of not deserving...again you are who you are in Christ, not because you deserve it, no matter how many others are also Christians.

I also agree with Peter who claims Pauls' words are the very words of God.

Except since 2 Peter was most certainly not written by Peter, you are actually agreeing with someone possibly named Fred.  So it should actually be the epistle of the apostle Fred.  Paul established that you can be an apostle simply by calling yourself an apostle, so I'm assuming Fred called himself an apostle, hence my use of the label "apostle Fred".

Paul was miraculously and radically changed by Jesus and called by Him to be an apostle... Here we have a forum poster 2000 years later making wild claims about the man Jesus gifted.

So... when you reject Jesus' calling of Paul, you undermine Jesus' own teaching.
