No, not really, obviously they pitch Hyles Anderson, but there's a pretty good balance of encouraging the teens to follow whatever God's will is. Pastor Wilkerson has done a good job to do away with the emotional manipulation. HAC would probably have more students if they still did, but they don't.

The only thing he says is that he encourages every highschooler to take a gap year at a Bible college before going on to a secular school. A good amount of HB students go to HAC for a year and then to PCC, Purdue, IU, ect

We've been year through the Schaap/Wilkerson transition and the difference is night and day, honestly. Still IFB but the spirit is totally changed for the better

It was a recruiting tool even back in the late 70's when I worked at it. My husband was accepted to Bob Jones and his church came out to YC in summer of '76. There was such a strong push and the whole thing was an advertisement to attend HAC...it looked so fabulous that he pulled out of attending BJ and started at HAC 6 weeks after YC. Personally, I'm glad he did because then we met and married and still married 47 years later.

I met my husband at hac in1976 . We were married in 1977 and was married for 45 years. He passed away in 2023 He worked security for the college from 1976-1983 when we left for south Florida.

1976 was my first year. In about one month, it will have been fifty years since I first enrolled. I never thought I would live this long. I may have known you and/or your husband. I hope you are well. God has blessed me so much in this half century. All glory to Him!
