The economy has been strong under Trump. It is currently a “mixed bag.” Economists are unsure whether the trajectory is going up in the long term or down. Sacrifice. I understand what you’re saying. But there’s a house down the road thats 800sq. ft. The cost is $150,000 800sq. ft.
What year. Early 2,000’s. The house I live in now was $97,000 today it’s worth $180,000. We bought this house in 2017.
My job. No hand outs in my blood line. My wife and I paid for a weekend trip for our honeymoon with the money we got at our wedding which was like $500.
Go try and find a $55,000 house today anywhere in the country and let me know what you find.

I’m just barely old enough to remember when most couples attempted to rent and put a little money aside each month in an attempt to buy their first house before age 40. And this was a time when couples got married much younger and had children much younger. At least that’s how I recall it being in my parent’s circles. The idea of a 25-year-old being entitled to home ownership would have been laughable not long ago.
