But you repeat yourself. So which was it, the Dems or John McCain?

This may sound controversial and I am not really sure how this even ought to land or how we should move forward but one of the big culprits is the medical establishment itself! They have their own interest in maintaining the "Status Quo" and keeping things the way they are. It is an undeniable fact that there is no money to be made in actually "Curing or Preventing Diseases." Chronic illnesses are most definitely the "Cash Cow" of the medical and pharmaceutical industry. But they also serve a necessary role in protecting us from all of the quackery but I think they also quash much of the innovation as well as being overly dismissive of homeopathic and natural medicines that would probably keep many off pharmaceuticals that are slowly killing us!The ultimate goal of the Democrat Party was/is gubmit control or single payer healthcare.
Insurance companies and hospitals/healthcare providers are, in my opinion, often in cahoots to keep things as they are…but that’s just me.
I agree that the best thing would be for gubmit to be hands off, including removal of regulations and policies which support the status quo.
So which was it, the Dems or John McCain?
Much as I hate to admit it, I'm glad McCain lost in 2008.What in hades are you talking about???? Once again you are trying to divert attention from YOUR demonCraps. McCain was just a small part with his "thumbs down vote. He was far from being a (R) Republican. A rino? YES!.
I am, too! In fact, I didn't vote for the POTUS portion of the ballot...there really wasn't anyone to vote for!Much as I hate to admit it, I'm glad McCain lost in 2008.
He does this often! He's riding the short bus to fame! But you repeat yourself.
You should take that up with Ekk. He is the one who blamed it on McCain. What in hades are you talking about???? Once again you are trying to divert attention from YOUR demonCraps. McCain was just a small part with his "thumbs down vote. He was far from being a (R) Republican. A rino? YES!.

BTW I am still wondering what was in the great repeal and replace bill that failed. Anyone know what was in it? Anyone have an actual plan now to fix the mess?
You have no idea what it was do you?If only we could get your moral candidates elected they would I’m sure fix the Democrat healthcare mess.
And as always, Hallelujah!
i started reading that bill 8 years ago when it first came out...... and i learned very quickly all i needed to know about it to be happy it failed.... .. and if you actually read the quote i gave in post number 12 of this thread... .... from something i wrote in 2017.... then you would know it too....... i didn;t care about what else was in the bill when i saw those first bits of info.......You should take that up with Ekk. He is the one who blamed it on McCain.

my idea back then was to let obamacare be repealed without a bill to replace it.... then let personal medical insurance go back to the way it was before obama tried to '"fix" it.... we should keep the government out of healthcare except to insure that if a promise is made by an insurance company - that promise is kept....... .Anyone have an actual plan now to fix the mess?
You have no idea what it was do you?
So you admit that you don't know. Cool.Compared to you, I am ignorant, unlearned, immoral and impudent!
And, as always…Hallelujah!
So you admit that you don't know. Cool.
My premise is that the GOP claimed to have a plan to replace it with something better. Once the democrats and McCain foiled their plan they completely lost interest. You do know that we can go to a thing called the internet and find out almost anything.
I do not accept your premise that the Republicans are at fault because they did not ‘fix’ the AFFORDABLE a care Act….which was designed, carried out and touted by the Democrat Party. Now, when the bill is exposed for exactly what the Democrats designed it to be, it’s a Republican Healthcare crisis.
You, like the Progressives, purport to be our moral and intellectual better. And then deflect the issue and accuse me of doing what you’re doing…dodging the real issue.
And…a pious Hallelujah to you.
My premise, the thread title, is that the Democrat Party tried for years to put in place a gubmit involved/rum healthcare system….remember Hillary-care. They lied about it…if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor etc. Now it’s working just as they designed it and it’s a Republican Healthcare Crisis. I do not cede that point. My premise is that the GOP claimed to have a plan to replace it with something better. Once the democrats and McCain foiled their plan they completely lost interest.
- Not our fault that the bad guys didn't let us fix it. In fact they are so bad we aren't ever going to try again. -
