also from the donald trump trump thread - post number 33.... insinuations that we have gay nephews and friends with trans daughters.... and that we would attend their gay and transgendered weddings ....if you had read the forum for a while you would have seen that i left my former church which i had once loved because they began performing gay weddings...

post number 42 from same thread... insinuating those of us on the forum who support trump would also support him shooting someone on 5th avenue...

post number 53..... saying it seems we have all abandoned our own conscience and engaged in tribalism where trump is concerned

post number 82... bringing up our mothers and saying we are acting as if you insulted them.... ..(there is nothing negative you could say about mine that would even come close to what i have said myself.... so that comment was actually laughable)

post number 105... you claim to be seeing tribal impulses here among trump supporters.... i gave up my right to be a member of the tribe i was actually born to in order to be part of a christian family.. why would i choose to join a political tribe?

and then there was the rorsarch test comment... as if you would have any clue how to create one or evaluate someone elses response to one... .... that alone is an insult to someone who has actually been subjected to real rorsarch tests and whose freedom coud depend on the outcome...

and that;s just from that one thread.... i haven;t even gotten to this one yet or your other threads.... .. do you want me to keep going?..... how are any of the things you said here less vile than a parent accusing school members with being complicit in grooming when they defend the schools action of placing vile and disgusting books supporting alternate lifestyles and of children undergoing sex change surgery in the school library?

You are free to misinterpret my posts. You are free to use the word insinuate in error. You are free to dislike anything and everything that I have posted.

And having seen this list before and having reviewed the particulars, I can say that there's still no post shown where I directly accused anyone specifically. Such as "Bob is a big poopyhead".

As to most of your objections I will point out that I am a regular user of analogies, simile and metaphors. The Rorschach test being a perfect example.

I didn't make any accusations that anyone here is 100% Trump.

As for the criticism of Trump, it's often (not always) "<insert criticism here> but policy". I've learned when I see "but" that everything before it often is nothing more than lip-service.

Aint you saying that somebody here is making the claim that Sub needs to be 100% Trump? What does your claim mean that people are saying that sub needs to be 100% Trump?

I think this is the crux of the difference in our philosophies. I can say “Jimmy Carter was a good man, but we needed a president with better international policies” and it does not negate his integrity. Just the same, I can say that Donald Trump is a CAD, but in large part serves our countries need right now despite his own caustic personality. There’s no dismissing his vile attributes or minimizing them, rather an acknowledging of them, but relegating them beneath the priority of proper and competent governance. And in spite of those fair criticisms of his disgusting narcissism, he still sealed the border, put conservative judges on the Supreme Court that overturned Roe versus Wade, made it clear that there’s only two genders, etc., etc. etc.

On the one hand you demand passivity to "Gods' annointed ruler" when it's Biden. Citing things like "Paul preached submission and the proper prostrations to Nero" ... butt, when it's Trump, you're all for resistance.

Weird thing is that I am not "anti Trump" as much as I am concerned about the affects politics has had on the world view of my Christian brethren. As I have said many times I don't see Trump as the problem. I see him as a symptom of the problem that has been growing in the church for decades. Compromise of first principles. The reputation of the church is way beyond policy results in importance. We are called to so much better and higher.

The post about Biden was pointed at the argument that Trump is anointed according to Gods plan/will. All I did was swap the name. Where was the defense here for Biden as God's man? Does God gain and lose His sovereignty based on how American elections turn out? Of course not, so unless one is willing to apply the principle to both men then it is reasonable to conclude that it is not a valid argument for the defense of one over the other. I'm comfortable finding both of them abysmal and being confident that God is still in control regardless of who occupies the Oval Office.

According to you:
1. Christians who vote Trump compromise their principles because he is immoral.
2. Christians who ‘choose the lesser evil’ compromise their principles becaus Trump is immoral.
3. You did not vote for Trump, because you stand true to your principles.
4. You did not vote Biden, because you know you’d get castigated for admitting that…er…ah…you stand true to your principles.
5. But you absolutely did vote.

Ergo, there must have been a third….morally acceptable candidate which you choose to keep to yourself.

Since God is sovereign Biden could not have been elected without His allowing it to happen. The same obviously goes for any President or ruler. I’m comfortable finding Trump and Biden to be flawed, immoral men. And, given the chance today to vote for one or the other for POTUS, I’d vote Trump!

Unless I knew the name of your moral candidate….

i have watched you on this forum for years.... .. and you are nothing but a troll...... you get your kicks baiting the forum by posting things you hope will get people stirred up and irritated.... . and then when called out on it you defend yourself with word games - double speak and semantics..... ...just like you are doing here.......... ...

it seems that in your mind it doesn;t matter what your intentions or beliefs were behind a comment as long as you can twist your words to cover yourself... then come back with another trollish attack in another post or thread....... i have called you out on that before many times.... and more than once i said the sooner people here get sick of you and start ignoring the garbage you spew the better off the forum will be.....

have whatever kind of new year you can manage and that others around you can tolerate...... but that might take some changes in attitude and actions..... definitely changes in communication .....
