While traveling, we visit a great variety of places. We spent alot of time in Oklahoma where Andrew Jackson violently moved the Cherokees.

We met with the Cherokee, Chocktaw and Muskogee tribes in their visitor centers.

They told us they are very thankful for Trump and the movement he started. These tribes are pretty conservative. We asked them about the Redskins renaming and they said it was foolish and not generated by the Indians, but by liberals.

They did say, the tribes that are almost wholly dependent on government are typically the sour pusses.

So... Billy Ellish....
1) talk to the tribe in Los Angeles and get their opinion. They have settled their land there and continue to do so today.

2) get off their land if you think it is stolen

That's all!

Whatever you tried posting isn’t available in my country (according to the message).

The same slogn did not gel into a movement until Trump.

Oh come on…all Trump did was commercialize the idea and make money from the slogan by selling hats and tshirts. There’s really nothing unique or original in his ideology of “America first.” You’re an intelligent guy, and I believe you already know that, regardless of whether you’ll admit it or not.

Why ruin a perfectly good discussion thread with nonsense?
What’s nonsense about it? You said the Native Americans were thankful for the movement Trump started. I’ve never heard of him starting a movement before you said that. There’s nothing new about “America first.” 🤷🏻‍♂️

Like him or hate him,Trump started a political and cultural movement.
So did Reagan and FDR.

I’m not sure how that’s debatable….and I’m posting this from the Piedmont Triad in NC.

No. It’s a bunch of crap to give Trump credit for something Reagan came up with. It was literally his 1980 campaign slogan, for crying out loud! View attachment 8278
There is a big difference.

Say, "Christ is King" to an audience of Christians, then say the same thing to an audience of Jews.

That's akin to saying MAGA to the last generation, and saying it to this generation.

I think you are confused as to a movement and a slogan.
Among other things.😊
Not at all. I honestly think a couple of you old-timers had zero remembrance of the fact that Reagan’s 1980 presidential campaign slogan was the same thing Trump stole and commercialized (quite successfully, I might add). Subtract the Cold War rhetoric from the campaign. Reagan was the original MAGA president: https://www.newamerica.org/future-security/articles/revisiting-the-first-maga-president/
