Its tights under the skirts . I've never done that I still have nightmares with jean skirt and tennis shoes with socks. You might be correct about that based on the way the volleyball team is dressed. Are they wearing skirts with pants underneath??View attachment 8763
I was told you don't do that............crazy now looking back. Then there is always the dilemma if a woman goes skiing.
What about rock climbing? Then there is always the dilemma if a woman goes skiing.
I know some who tried. The ski people in charge told her and her husband that it was too dangerous.I was told you don't do that............crazy now looking back.
I don't own a jean skirt lolIts tights under the skirts . I've never done that I still have nightmares with jean skirt and tennis shoes with socks.
Me either.I don't own a jean skirt lol
arguments like this permeated the fff when i first joined the forum in 2004....Then there is always the dilemma if a woman goes skiing.
I couldn't imagine (nor do I recall) anyone on the FFF criticizing "Deep Six" for working on Sundays or around women who wear britches. What I can imagine is a lot of folks here having fun with and spoofing such things! I am sure there were a few trolls and sockpuppets joining in on the fun and much of this was the "beauty" of the glory days of the old FFF!prior to that - when my dad first joined the forum - he had gotten raked over for working on sundays (as a firefighter paramedic)...and for working with female partners who wore pants on the job........ all of it comes from the same mindset that teaches fundamentalist men..both christian and muslim.. they should have the dominion over all women everywhere no matter where they live - or who they are... and if not that then at least be able to dictate what they do and how they do it.... .. ....i;m glad some of those old attitudes and assumptions are dying out.......
i don;t rmember who it was making the big deal about it... the name song-gallery comes to mind.... i think the others was one or more of the infamous killer bees.... . but i do remember my dad laughing about it.... ..in fact that is one of the things that inspired him to write his spoof story called the tale of the ifbx samaritan .... .i wish we had a copy of that... . it was hilarious.....I couldn't imagine (nor do I recall) anyone on the FFF criticizing "Deep Six" for working on Sundays or around women who wear britches. If I recall correctly, I believe your dad had a good sense of humor and rolled with the punches with the best of them!![]()
Thank you for this information. This is a response from someone who definitely is "in the know":
1. HAC girls cannot wear pants
2. Pastor Wilkerson is against pants, and will preach on it. However, a bit "nicer" than the old guard. He will say something "clothing is for protection, modesty, and distinction..."
3. The official position, even at Hammond Baptist is that if girls wear coulottes, you can't be able to tell they're not a skirt. In other words, they must have the appearance of a skirt
4. Visitors are not reprimanded if they come in pants. In fact, we have a service every year where we encourage them to bring their coworkers for chapel, and many of the ladies come in pants
"unchurched rebel. loose cannon" Now if they meant that you could probably best them in archery and surfing, well then I agree. But you are a godly, patient, kind, gentle soul, the essence of godliness and they were proud, arrogant boasters, like clouds without water.i don;t rmember who it was making the big deal about it... the name song-gallery comes to mind.... i think the others was one or more of the infamous killer bees.... . but i do remember my dad laughing about it.... ..in fact that is one of the things that inspired him to write his spoof story called the tale of the ifbx samaritan .... .i wish we had a copy of that... . it was hilarious.....
the argument however concerning me wearing camo bdu pants to hunt in the jungle went on for a long time... . made even worse when i mentioned that i wore udt shorts to bike ride and go to the archery range...... it;s what got me labelled an unchurched rebel and loose cannon by the killer bees on the old forum.... .. ...i thought that was unfair.... since moving here i have always gone to church.... .just not their church.....

By "Killer Bees" I believe that Aleshanee is referring to "Baptist, Brennan, and Braemer" who each held firmly to the tenets of "Classic IFBism" and could get characteristically legalistic at times. Brennan was more reasonable of the three and has actually written a book later on exposing some of the extremeties of the IFB movement."unchurched rebel. loose cannon" Now if they meant that you could probably best them in archery and surfing, well then I agree.
