Widespread Damage at US Bases.

LOL. You don't even pay attention to yourself.

I've cited the sources. They're all over the place in the forum. If you haven't bothered to pay attention, I'm under no obligation to spoonfeed you.
Awww, bless your heart you pompous windbag. I see you had to change my name again to make your little self feel better. Your anti Israel bias is the only thing that's all over the place, eKKK-flee-Zion!

Is that the best you've got, buddy boy?

I'll have you know, as someone who has been a conservative my entire life, do believe, and continue to believe, that the best way to deal with an adversary is peace through strength, and that requires some degree of restraint for the one wielding that power.

If you've already concluded that you're so much wiser than I am and have been around the block longer than I have, then by all means, disregard my opinion on the matter. After all, you know how that saying goes: "You can't teach an old dog new tricks."
Aleshanee is female, you dimwit! Duh...

Well, same could be said about those who support this war 100% and innocent children die and chalk it up to, hey this is war things happen. I agree it comes down to ideology. I disagree with you in that that makes them horrible people. (If I understood you correctly)
You NEVER understand me correctly, just as you don't understand many others correctly. If you'd just pull your head out of your rear end every now and then and live in the REAL world maybe you would do better.

Initially, I was for what looked like was going to be a short-term military operation. Since the outcome is so unclear now, I have my reservations.

Some have said this war is justified, and others have said it’s not. Where I’m seeing both sides starting to agree is that it has been poorly executed and has been dragging on longer than necessary.

Not to mention, the president did break his promise about not starting new wars during his campaign, which caused his other promise to slow down rising costs to break as well.

Do you think that’s a fair assessment?
Mr Trump vacillates between the reasons for the war with Iran. At first he didn't even call it a war, but now he consistently makes the claim that it is. He's bypassed Congress and has not giving them the opportunity to approve of his action legally. He seems to be living in a echo chamber bubble where few will dare to voice their true beliefs. Anyone that disagrees with this bumbling fool our president is immediately criticized, ostracized, and slandered beyond reason. Trump has done a lot of good things for the American people, but he's also done a host of things that could be considered borderline to outright illegal, including many things that are a conflict of interest. He doesn't act presidential, and doesn't really seem to care about the fate of the work-a-day American taxpayers. He's much too busy living in his billionaire bubble with his billionaire cronies posing as Cabinet Secretaries. My opinion isn't a popular one, and has cost me friends and family, but I really don't give a damn about other people's opinions of me. Take me or leave me. I'm too old to care about it, and my time on this earth is rapidly coming to an end.

I think some of that is reasonable, but there’s some of it that lacks nuance. Trump didn’t want war, but Iran needed dealt with on the nuke issue and was glossed over by MANY administrations before his. Trump may have underestimated how determined the Iranians would be after being thoroughly whooped militarily, and that is the reason so much criticism comes his way, but he wasn’t wrong for finally putting a stop to their acts of aggression and imminent and credible nuclear threat.

Uh, what "credible nuclear threat?" Trump told us on June 26, 2025 that Iran's nuclear facilities had been "totally obliterated" and that it would "likely take years" to rebuild it.

We were told in March 2025 that Iran did not have a nuclear weapons program.

The deal they were close to signing a few months ago wasn’t all that different than the deal Obama already had with them. In some ways, it was probably worse.

That would explain the purple font.
look whose talking.... ..you;re the one with a big purple spot for an avatar - with a pale purple P in the middle of it.... . .....does that mean you;re a female too?.. .... :sneaky:

j/k.. ;)

this is why i was telling you to read more before you post.... i am sure you have heard the phrase "look before you leap" ..... i would add to that "look and learn before you leap and lose"....

but there is also a very easy way you could have figured out i am not a guy... even without reading a lot of old posts... .... just click on my avatar..... .. you will see a profile with a banner come up... that banner is an old picture from when i first started getting serious about archery.. ....... click on that avatar again and you will see a much bigger picture of the banner that should have showed you exactly who.. and what.. i am... ..

you can do that for any forum member here who made a profile and posted a banner... .... but not all the banners have a picture of them personally but rather things they have an interest in.. ...however you can click on other links of the profile bar ...and if they added information to it you can learn more about them.....

I didn’t have a say in the matter!

So you’re from Oahu… where they filmed Lost, favorite show ever.

i know.... i;m just joking anyway...;).... the color my font is now isn;t the original.... that one was indigo... .no longer available.....
So you’re from Oahu… where they filmed Lost, favorite show ever.
this may sound strange... but i have never watched lost... ....i;ve seen plenty of their movie sets and know a few people who worked on the medical staff and set up crew.... ... we even walked right through one of their sets while they were filming an episode once... .(or trying to film it)... ...

they were up the rainforest and had all kinds of security down on the lower trails and side trails to keep people from coming up or into their set.. ...... but they had no idea a pair of hunters .(my sister and i)..would be coming down hill through the dense part of the jungle where no conventional trail existed..... .and we didn;t have any idea a tv film crew was there until we busted out into the clear.. .. ..

we could hear people talking before we got down there - and knew somebody was there .... but assumed it was probably other hunters or pakalolo growers.. (marijuana) .... ....when they saw us we were already halfway into their set up and that was about the same time we figured out who they were.... first thing i saw was these guys holding microphone booms and these big reflecting screens with bright light shined into them... and then we saw the cameras and the shocked/disgusted faces of the people behind them....

needless to say they were not happy.... .and we were momentarily shocked ourselves, but didn;t stop.... everybody on the set just froze and stared at us as we kept going - walked down through the clearing and onto the lower trail.... i guess they got their cameras rolling again after we were gone... ..we laughed all the way down to the jeep... ..

I’m sorry that it cost you friends and family, truly I am. Politics is not worth cutting someone off, friends or family but especially family.

We live in America and because of that we are allowed to have our own opinions. It’s sad because people that will cut you off because of politics are allowed to have their opinions but are telling you that you are not allowed to have yours.

We have disagreements on here but I would never consider someone with different opinions my enemy.

Hey look I’m just an average Bruh!

I take exception with the implication that the deals were similar. That aside, we aren’t talking about the deal to end the conflict. We were talking about whether there was justification to stop them from acquiring ability to put together a nuclear weapon that could be delivered to our allies and potentially ourselves.

I think you are a reasonable guy, and I am willing to take the time needed to hash this out if you want. But first, do you really believe that if I ran obtained nuclear weapons that they would not use them?

Yes, you do seem like quite the exception taker.

Let's just look at the facts. Obama’s deal focused specifically on limiting Iran’s nuclear program. It set concrete restrictions on uranium enrichment, centrifuges, stockpiles, and nuclear facilities, with international inspections in exchange for sanctions relief.

The new "memorandum of understanding," by contrast, left many of the specific nuclear restrictions and verification details to be negotiated at a later time without establishing any long-term objectives. Not to mention, Iran would be receiving billions of dollars more in payments and frozen assets compared to the 2015 agreement.

there seems to be a problem here...🤨.. on wednesday you told me the following - - (quoted below)...

Pierre on September 30. 2026 - - - "Well, if you are older than I am, and I think that you are, I was raised properly enough that I was taught that I’m supposed to respect you as my elder, so I do not wish to argue with you about it further. "

perhaps you are not aware... but alayman is older than i am.... . meaning if you really think i;m older than you - then alayman is older than both of us....:sneaky:. ..... .based on the principle you said you were taught by those who raised you - don;t you think you should reconsider - and drop this argument now? .... ..... save it for someone younger on the forum?..

of course i have no idea who that younger one would be.. .. .. since you have declared yourself the youngest so far. .... .. ...but stay hopeful.... ..maybe somebody will join up?....;) ..

Haha. Cute line. Trust me when I say I’ve been around this forum for over 25 years and lines like that aren’t going to earn you any respect or further the conversation in any purposeful, respectful, or meaningful way. Chill on that sort of stuff.

Again, you did not address what I was talking about and you snipped that part of out of my response out so that you could jump to things that happened after the war started. I originally responded in the conversation when you said that Trump promised to keep us out of wars, as if such a promise was achievable in life of the context of the Iranian threat. I responded that the context for that conflict in light of his general sentiments about wars is legitimate because Trump hasn’t been Hawkish in his views and actions on war, but rather demonstrably showing that he believes in peace through strength.

I didn’t intend for it to be taken that way, so I apologize then.

I’ll go back to talking about happy meal toys on the other thread. You know where to find me!

For the record, I do believe in governing by peace through strength. At the same time, I believe that it also requires some degree of restraint on the one wielding that power.
