I just remembered... Two years ago my wife went to Norway, Iceland and Denmark. They are a cashless society. I sent her with a couple of debit cards and an Apple credit card. Only the Apple card was accepted. Without a credit card, I don't know how you can travel to Europe these days.

Do you have any experience with AWANA? I created a children's program in the early 1990s based on the Baptist Confession. They were to memorize the confession (worded with 1990s vernacular). Memorized the proofs and were taught, expositionally what each proof meant.

I'm not worried so much about precise wording, just wanting actual gospel wording. It ended up being a good week! Some thoughts about life and what happens after struck a strong chord with him. His dad died when he was 3. So, I am making sure he has a full life of experience and proper...

I have a few friends who got saved in college (BJU and Maranatha) because they finally heard the gospel without the kitschy sayings.

😂 or, just a realization that God's saving grace overcomes human errors. If he is chosen, he will be drawn inspite of humanity. I just hate the thought that he may have to struggle with poor theology as many of my friends have.

Our 1st grandchild is going to VBS. We attend a very solid, gospe-oriented (theologically sound) church... YET, there is a bit of fear, here. Will the children's workers implore the gospel with sayings like... "Ask Jesus in your heart." "Say this prayer."

I believe you see similarities in that... 1) Catholics believe good works gain salvation. 2) IFBs believe good works gain God's favor.
