Let's Return to the Gold Paths

No. Ye shall not crucify mankind upon this cross of gold. :D

    FBCH/Pastor Wilkerson/KJV

I would not take it upon myself to speak for him, but in my experience he is as conservative as FBCH was under Bro. Hyles in his latter years, albeit in a kinder, gentler manner. He's a compassionate conservative, so to speak. :D

    Christian Library

I've read a lot of Barnhouse. I like him b/c he preaches his commentaries, like Lloyd-Jones. Oliver B.  Greene preaches them too much; not enough substance for my taste. I  haven't read much of Rice and McGee. Matthew Henry is always good, like vanilla icecream is always good.

Hyles-Anderson Graduate Joe Vassak Spoke Last Night

He's was a good man back in the day. He's a good man now. The life of his children tell me he's been a good man in between. Good choice.

    Bill Grady - New Book

I agree. I like Final Authority. I did not like What Hath God Wrought at all, and I didn't buy the second volume.

    The two biggest falsehoods

That great men of God worked 80 hours a week, slept little, and were rarely at home of an evening with their family.

    The two biggest falsehoods

The size of a man's church was a direct indication of the blessing of God on his life, of his being a good pastor, and of the fact that I ought to grant him a hearing.

College students joining church and tithing

I think you should pay where you get fed. When I was at HAC I joined FBCH and tithed to that church. OTOH, I think it is at least inappropriate and perhaps wrong to force either college students or staff to tithe as is done in some institutions. It's hard to be a cheerful giver when your...

David Cloud takes on a family of musicians

...so the music the Clark family sings is wrong essentially b/c it is also sung by SGM groups? With that rationale the Clark family can't use the KJV b/c it is also used by some SGM groups... His reasoning, if it is to be consistent, must be applied to everything - which shows you the...

    For Jackhylesson's friends

These couple of sentences really sum up the whole problem. He was elevated far above where he should have been at that age. There is a reason Scripture says, "Not a novice." Pride lurks in every person's heart but it absolutely rages in young people. What a terrible combination of youth, pride...
