How did Emmanuel go from being one of the biggest IFB churches in the country, to meeting in a school? They are in worse shape then Highland Park (aka Church of the Highlands).

I think Mrs Owens should wait at least a few years before she speaks at Ladies Conferences again. I think the circumstances behind him leaving SBBC are even a "big name" like him could only get a small church to call him.

I like Owens. I've heard him preach in person and he was nothing like the guy that preached sermons at HAC. My only beef with him is hanging around Allen Domelle.

Jeff Owens is now the pastor of Twin Rivers Baptist Church in New Berne, NC.  I looked up the church on Google Earth and it looks quite small. Glad to see he's back in The Lord's work :)

Does anybody know anything about this church? This isn't the Larry Brown in Iowa. It's KJV only and IFB but seems to have a different spirit then alot of them and the best music I've ever heard in an Independent Baptist church.

Hyles' books were at least readable. The only book that Schaap wrote that I made it all the way through is Dating With a Purpose. I remember reading somewhere that Dave Hyles ghostwrote some of Dr. Hyles' last books from some of his bible studies. Any truth to that? As for Wiersbe, I don't care...
