    Please stop the bullying......

Who has the time to waste being a troll? I believe Wiki has this right in their article about Internet Trolls: "Two studies published in 2013 and 2014 have found that people who are identified as trolls tend to have dark personality traits and show signs of sadism, antisocial behavior...

    The Wilds

Sounds like good memories. The church I came to know Christ through had a camp in the hills of western Jefferson County on "top of Sealy Ann Mountain" about 30 miles West of Birmingham. Change the names and the experiences sound the same. The LeGrands loved those kids as well.

    The Wilds

Yeah, I was just kidding. While I haven't been to Lassen Pines (except via Google Earth), I have been to the Redding, CA area and it is nice. It's just not as nice as the mountains of NC where the Wilds is located. (IMHO)  :)

With all the Talk About the Inappropriate ADs on the FFF

With all the talk about the inappropriate ADs on the FFF, I thought it was important to recognize some appropriate ones: You know, it's like being "Fair and Balanced".

I have no love for BJU. My favorite saying is that, "BJU is the only Methodist school I know where Baptist go to become Presbyterian". That being said, the Wilds camp shares only a few connections with BJU and fewer still of its idiosyncrasies. Unless you believe in the very BJU concept of...

It certainly seems like the P3 has been flying since the mid-19th century! I actually saw one flying over Tampa just a couple of months ago. The unmistakable sound of its turbo props made me look up and see it. Couldn't tell if it belonged to the USN or some other agency (or country for that...

I figured it was a friendly inter-service rivalry stab which I don't mind at all. I certainly give them as much as get them. Thanks for the hat tip and Semper Fi, Marine.

    Happy 4th of July, folks!

It has something to do with Jack Hyles' LEFT butt-cheek since we're talking about Canada here. I am just ribbing you Scott but I was referring to the fact that Dominion Day was renamed to Canada Day which I'm sure you know. The "debate" comment comes from my first hand experience. When I visit...

You were at NAS Jax? What year may I ask? I was there from 1979 to '83. One of my dorm mates was a "Batman" and was assigned to one of the VPs at NAX Jax to serve out his Reserve commitments. Always loved being able to go to the flight line when the P-3s were thick as seagulls on a beach.

Nice posts and pictures. Your observations are absolutely spot on! Should we give your father the credit for such an excellent perspective on naval operations or is that something you picked up on your own?

    Happy 4th of July, folks!

And what shadow would that be? It must be the shadow of doubt since the it has been renamed and even debated as to its meaning. It is such a puny shadow and is dispelled by the light of Liberty that shines from the land of the free and the home of the brave. Happy belated "Dominion/Canada Day"...

    Happy 4th of July, folks!

Technically, the number "4" does appear on Canadian calendars in the month of July. :) My wife grew up in Canada and tells me that their big holiday in July comes three days before ours. It was called Dominion Day when she was there but it is now called Canada Day since the whole "we're...

Woody Strode is one of my favorite character actors. He plays Pvt. Franklin in Pork Chop Hill with Gregory Peck. Good flick.

    Happy 4th of July, folks!

Nice twist of historical conjecture. Here, let me try: Happy Independence Day everyone! Just remember, if our founding fathers had been a bunch of tyranny loving fairies like the Canadians, we wouldn't have the best nation in the history of the earth! *liberal, low-life, socialist pukes' heads...

An outstanding president deserves an outstanding ship to bear his name and the CVN-76 does! Thanks for sharing the pictures and video. Got a a little misty eyed seeing the USS Ronald Reagan passing by the USS Missouri. Gives you an understanding of the immense size of the vessel and the awesome...

    The Wilds

My second son attended Maranatha and one of the things that amazed me when we visited up there was the number of Christian camps that were in in that part of the country (Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, etc.) of which I had never heard.
