I know there are a lot of negative that can be said about FBC, but not a week goes by I don't hear a story or memory of some Godly couple who made such a difference in young lives. Many who grew up at FBC & others who only spent 4 years there were greatly influenced by some very wonderful people.
So much attention is given to the pastor & senior staff members, but I think in most churches God works through those unseen & sometimes unknown Godly people who quietly change people’s lives every day for the better.
When we get to Heaven we may be surprised & what a difference some of these folks made.
Yes, souls were saved and lives were changed for the good at FBCH because of these mostly unknown
godly saints, in spite of the pastors and senior staff members.
If FBCH depended upon its former pastors it would have gone out of business, it is these unknown people that do the work, pay the bills (including pastor's salaries) and keep the place going.
