Looks like Good Boy Billy, wasn't so good after all.  If it would have been a black person who shot a white person, it wouldn't even be on the radar.  Sad but true.

You ought to be ashamed

Why?  Have there been riots, looting, and wall-to-wall news coverage of all the black-on-black murders in Chicago and I just missed it?

If you can't see how horribly offensive that is, then no amount of explaining I can do will help.

You're further gone than I thought.

Think on what you've posted, how precious each life is to God no matter how its lived, and then see if you can figure it out.

Your problem is that you see the humor as "I hope I get killed by a white man" as opposed to "I hope I live".  That's not the joke.  The point of the joke is "I hope I get killed by a white man instead of by a black man, because if I get killed by a black man, nobody will care."

If you can't see the point of the joke, then you're more disconnected with reality than I thought.

The problem is there is no humor at all.

If you see humor in people being killed -- any people -- then you're a sociopath, and I would just as soon not share in your "reality."

Or perhaps just find the truth offensive, in which case I can't help you.

Sicko.

If you can't tell the difference between a satire comic and the reality of a real person getting killed, I hope you never watch any cartoons.  You'd have a nervous breakdown.

Yeah, I think you're dealing with apples and oranges there, chief.

You're making a callous "joke" about the death of black youth -- about actual real, life and (literal) death issues. Issues, mind you, that seem not to ever have affected you personally (or I would guess you wouldn't be joking about them).

Wile E. Coyote lives in a world where gravity only works if you notice it.

Here's your homework assignment. Print out your little "comic" and mail it to Michael Brown's family. Surely they'll se the humor, right? It's just a little good natured socio-political ribbing, right?

Oh my stars and garters!  Indiana Jones kills a man!  It's supposed to be funny.  It's not even a satire comic, and it's not even hypothetical.  It's a real person shooting a real person!!  Ban the movie!  Ban it, I say!

For what?  Have you ever seen white people riot after one got shot by a black person?  Have you ever seen the differences between the way white victims are treated vs. black victims?  White shooters are guilty until proven innocent, black shooters are innocent, even if they are guilty.  Have you ever seen a black person charged with a hate crime?  It MIGHT happen occasionally, but almost never.  If a white person exercises their 1st amendment rights, they can/will be accused/charged with a hate crime, if they say the wrong thing.  Have you ever heard J Jackson called out for calling Jews, "Hymies", or calling white people, "crackers" ?  If you can't understand those "FACTS", I feel sorry for you.  And believe me, I am anything but a racist.  You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.

In StLouis, there was a three year old white girl riding her tricycle. She was shot as a retaliation.

It did not make any media. Source: Person from St Louis

And there are black children who get murdered almost every day in Chicago and elsewhere by black people.  And that doesn't cause riots and looting, nor does every murder get wall-to-wall news coverage.  The bias is so obvious there were tons of political cartoons about it when Trayvon was killed.  For example:

Uh, oh, that's sure to get me another bad karma from ddlooney.

It's pretty much the same message.  People only seem to give a damn if a black person is killed by a white person.

I agree St Louis is a dangerous area no more than downtown Miami or Detroit..............it is sad a young man lost his life. Come Lord Jesus!!!!!!!!!

I find it sad that the law enforcement are bound by politics.  Last night the looters were permitted to loot by the cops so that they wouldn't further fuel the riots. :o  The African American Highway Patrol dude that was put in charge for the sake of peace, when asked why they allowed the looting, said, in effect, "we lost some liquor, some food, but never lost any lives.  You can get liquor and food back, not a life".  Good to see the rule of law being honored.  ::)

ya know... there is an issue here which is much larger than whether or not a police officer was justified to continue shooting at an angry young man who had tried to overpower him in his squad car.... retreated after being shot once.... and then was running away with his hands in the air.......... and it;s an issue that;s even bigger than whether that particular witnesses account is even true or not.......

it;s the militarization of american police forces......... it;s been going on for over 30 years now.... and in the last couple of years has been expanded exponentially .......the motto of "protect and serve" has been slowly replaced with an attitude of ..."break down doors... then search and destroy"..... and it is not something only people in ferguson should be concerned about..... but something christians all over the country should be wary of..... especially in a political climate where the government has become increasingly hostile towards christian beliefs and values ........ and even more especially when militarized police departments in some parts of the country have adopted polices that cause them to send full tactical responses of multiple officers dressed in full battle gear to break into frat houses looking for under aged drinkers... and to invade back street beauty salons looking for people cutting hair without a license..... ... you might laugh..... but it has not only happened.... but has been defended by the police departments who did it.......  who is next?......

and just for the record.... i fully expect that some people will completely miss the point of what i;m trying to say and focus on something that touched a nerve then make an issue of it........ and then others will probably bring up the famous quote attributed to hitler... "if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear"...... but whatever........ believe what you will and say what you want..... but the same kind of shock troops on the streets of ferguson today could easily be standing outside your churches and home schools tomorrow...... or breaking down the door to charge in...... maybe then you will be grateful that some aspects of law enforcement are still bound by politics.......

This ^^^^

The militarization of the cops and the growing tendency toward an American police state are much more important and worrisome issues than anything else going on in Ferguson.

Militarization of our police force may be a legitimate concern, even more troublesome than the politicization and racial politics going on, but that don't minimize the sad state of affairs where the rule of law is ignored by gangs of thugs, all while the able-bodies and well armed enforcement agencies sit idly by and let innocent citizens and businessmen be terrorized.  To ignore those issues is to create a false dichotomy.

Spot on! Here in our county the sheriff will show displays of force for no reason other than to show it by driving an armored vehicle into communities.  Traffic stops in our community, which is a upper scale neighborhood, look like a response to a bank robbery.  Be careful folkies, when they start coming for you. I am a former Military Policeman and it seems restraint that we were taught is going by the way side!

When you think about it, it is a lot like much of the world lives every day. Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia, Israel, many African countries, Ukraine, etc. etc.

I'm listening to the police radio scanner for Ferguson.  What strikes me is how calm they are.  They're advising officers about protesters on a balcony trying to hurt them, and it's just very matter-of-fact.  Then they got a call about a suspicious suitcase, but quickly debunked the call as bogus.  Then a report that there's a gathering of 150 at such-and-such location.  Then a report of looting at the Papa John's and the liquor store there.

Regardless, no anger.  No panic.  Just communications.  I find it very interesting.

UPDATE:  Lots of looting and shots fired in the past hour or so.  Shops damaged and on fire, too.  Protesters have also been shooting fireworks into peoples' houses.

what many people in ferguson are saying..... even those not involved in the riots.... is that it was the police departments heavy handed over reaction... to what had started out as peaceful vigils for the young man killed by police... that sparked the rioting and looting which followed in the first place........... .....and once a firestorm like that is started..... you don;t quench it by simply having a police officer of the same race as the looters... lead a group of equally able bodied and well armed law enforcement into town.. dressed in the same battle gear as the first group was..... and say .... "ok everybody... we are all going to play nice now.... "......... ....

that;s the lesson they learned this weekend when the riots started up again....... ... but they had to at least give it a chance to work.... or give something a chance to work........ would you rather see more people killed and gunned down in ferguson just so the "rule of law" can appear to have been upheld?......... where was the rule of law when a police officer fired multiple shots at an unarmed suspect who was running away with his hands in the air?.......isn;t shooting at an unarmed fleeing suspect illegal?.... (never mind one with his hands in the air).... ... i know it;s illegal for police here in hawaii..... and many people are saying that if the police department had handled that questionable shooting appropriately..... and if they had not over reacted with a "break heads and leave them bleeding" approach to the protests that followed....... then it;s quite possible none of this rioting we are seeing now would have happened...........

and i;m not justifying what the rioters are doing....... i agree wholeheartedly with what the guy in the video rogue tomato posted is saying...... but with power comes even greater responsibility....... in my opinion american police departments have been given way too much of one... without demonstrating they could exercise the other........... and as a result they have given a large portion of the american public the impression that they have declared war on us......... and that should be unsettling to all americans....no matter who you are......

I'm not justifying the action of the police officer who fired at Brown, but as is often the case, people are reacting (and excusing their unpeaceful protests) before the facts are actually heard.  For instance, your statement that Brown was "running away" is in dispute.  One of the first eye-witnesses claimed he was running away, but the autopsy today proved he was not doing any running, he was facing the officer.  Regardless of what happened, it is not a legitimate basis to act like animals.

No, the autopsy does not prove that he was 'not running' away. What it proves is that when he was shot he was facing the officer. He may have began running away until he turned to face the officer and raised his arms as alleged by other witnesses. What we do know, based on the preliminary autopsy reports, is that when he was shot he was almost probably facing the officer when all of the shots were fired that hit him. We do not know if the officer fired while Brown was running away. We do know that there were no physical signs of a struggle on Michael Brown's body(other than the bullet wounds), which conflicts with the officer's testimony that he and Brown had a physical altercation that caused some sort of bruising to his face.

No, it doesn't conflict - it merely doesn't support the officer's testimony.

Are there physical signs of a struggle on the officer, or elsewhere at the scene?

Again, you miss the point.  Once the facts come out, if the officer murdered Mike Brown, then throw the book at him.  All the lawlessness disguised as concern for justice, well, some of it is sincere, much of it is race-baiting, and a fair amount is opportunistic thugs.

Of course much of the looting was done by people who would look for any opportunity to show their wanton disregard for the law, and to steal stuff.

What really scares me is that once I had the opportunity to destroy some property - smash appliances and glass; it was frightening how much pleasure my flesh took in such destruction.  I suspect that we could all do these things, except for the grace of God.
