The kid should have gotten up the first time she was told to do so, by the teacher, then the principal, then the law.  I think my first post covered this.  The way of the transgressor is hard.

No doubt. But the administration and ESPECIALLY a police officer, should have other tactics in hand other than physical force.

The home I was raised in, if I would've got home and complained and or my parents had to be called in because of this, both my parents response to me would've been:

#1. Why didn't you listen when they told you what to do?

#2. None of this would've happened if you would've done what they told you.

#3. If you didn't do anything wrong you don't have nothing to worry about.

#4. You made ur bed now sleep in it.

And I'm not just saying this, I can't tell you how many times numbers 1 through 4 were told to me.

But that's just how my parents did it.

And to the glory of God ALL their children (all boys) know how to take and handle responsibility. ALL of their children are in there 30's and ALL of their children are bosses and are RESPONSIBLE for others on the job.

WHY, bc we were taught that we make our beds and will have to sleep in them.

As to the question in the OP,  I have no idea if he is a hero or a rogue cop.   I am curious to know what would be an effective way to remove a belligerent student who refuses to move.  Surely police are trained to legally handle such matters.
You see the video of a child being assaulted just as clear as we do.
You err in assuming I watched the video. I do not watch videos posted here or on news sites which state that a person is being assaulted.  Can't stomach it.
Sheesh is this a joke? If not, you are truly psychotic.

You "can't stomach" watching videos of assault victim yet you can verbally attack them calling them names like beligerent?
all for texting quietly on her phone? We wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable badmouthing that girl whose arm is in a cast,  bruses on her body, with major back problems. As long as you are feeling comfortable while you spout verbal abuse at a crime victim that is all we care about. She could live in an apartment complex too, imagine that!!
Get a job lady. Right now. Get off this website, get off your tuff, just get a fricken job. Obey your boss, do what he/she tells you without having any issues. Don't insult anyone either. Pretend you are a normal person in society with half a conscious. And for God's Sake's, USE BIRTH CONTROL

i did watch the video..... and like it or not.... belligerent  - (which is an adjective describing a combative mindset bent on confrontation...)... is exactly the word that came to my mind when i saw the female student refuse to obey lawful commands then slap at the cop when he approached her......

but what the cop did next was totally inexcusable and i firmly believe he deserved to be fired........ when life is not at stake and a combative has to be subdued it is taught to persons with authority and a responsibility to act to get help.... as much help as is needed...... in order to make a controlled and well managed arrest of the individual.. reducing the possibility of injury to both the other themselves and themselves... and also bystanders......

what the cop did instead was allow his ego and anger at being challenged by a girl to awaken his own belligerent nature ..... and then he turned what should have been a simple removal of a student from class, into an mma style throw down.......... his response was totally unnecessary and way over the top........ not unlike your own over the top and nasty and very belligerent response to jr church.......that was completely uncalled for ....... we get it.... you don;t like her........ but she didn;t say anything out of line, and i think you owe her an apology..........

She was quietly texting, that is not combative by any nature of the word "beligerent". Beligerent is calling an assault victim names, at the very least.

Epic Fail

She did nothing illegal but was physicall assaulted by a Police Officer with the support of the Teacher who stood by and did nothing.
I hope she doesn't end up with permanent back injuries.

slapping at a cop when he approaches you..(for any reason)... is both combative and belligerent....... apparently you didn;t watch the video either...... ;)....... or else you are no different than the cop and you just allow your emotions and ego to drive you into a violent frothing at the mouth frenzy........... .........

oh wait..... :o.... forgot who i was talking to............... never mind........  ::)

Epic Fail again.
She didn't "slap a cop" when he approached her. At least try to post accurate information, read the story a few different places. Watch the video a few different times.

After he attacked her, she tried to defend herself throwing punches.

Epic Fail again

I pretty much agree with every single thing that Aleshanee wrote, and my general opinion about authority and sumbissiveness is along the line of what Bruh said, but I admit that when I read she's a recent orphan in foster care my hardline approach softened a bit towards her calloused appearance.

I don't care what home she comes from, it doesn't justify calling a Cop to attack her because she refused to stop texting.

It doesn't justify throwing her body across the room, body slamming her, breaking her arm and injuring her back. She's a kid

And it doesn't justify people going online calling her names! For Gods Sakes! This Abuse needs to stop.

This HERO Student got a very violent thug out of the school. She can be proud of that

As Joy Behar explained in the video I posted, she "could be a troubled girl". She said there are different ways to handle troubled girls. Hopefully if she is troubled, she's a bit less troubled now since there will be retribution. The Cop is fired and being investigated by the FBI so he may be facing criminal charges. Hopefully that will help her heal. The school is making changes upon how they handle these situations in the future also

A social worker was probably called. This doesn't mean she isn't suspended for her disobedience.
My guess is she won't be in school for a while. There is no reason to send her back before ensuring it won't happen again

she punched at him after he moved in and attempted to grab her ...... and i agree his actions were wrong..... ... but tell us oh brave biker...... how would you have handled this situation?............ would you have lifted her face up to yours and given her a kiss?.......... invited over to your house to watch you run around naked?...... posted another "please help" thread and waited for replies?.........

you want to talk about epic fails?....... go back and re-read your own trash.......... you are the person on this forum least qualified to tell anyone else what to do regarding children........

EPIC FAIL AGAIN

You came back to talk sexually perverse in a topic that has nothing to do with that. Please stop druging up lies.

And no, I wouldn't advocate you being thrown across the room for talking dirty either, trying to use people here to exaggerate and lie

via stories. Not appropriate for the forum and not appropriate in a high school classroom.

Where have I defended the girl's actions? Nowhere. What I suggest is that violence is NO WAY to respond to non-violent aggression.

No, she did not deserve to get her arm broken for what she did. Using your argument, a girl who wears a short skirt deserved it if she was raped, simply because she 'made her bed' and now has to 'sleep in it'.

I think we pretty much remember what you liked to talk about. You've settled down some since then but you were pretty crazy in what you wrote when you first came to this forum.

You owe her an apology. You had no right to say what you said in response to her. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Its rather ironic that you would defend the girl in the video and then attack an innocent person with things that shouldn't be so easily "thrown around".

You sir..... are trash.

People who have been abused will either abus by calling the victim names or stand up for the abusers who call this girl names like while not even addressing the Cops assault on her persons.

They will also lie like the devil. No she is not a delinquent nor is she beligerent. She didn't stop texting when asked, that is simply all she did.

No body brought anything sexual to the table until she showed up. It was only a matter of time.

I don't care how many people think others are perverts here, it doesn't belong in the thread.

Debate the topic, leave the personal put downs of this assault victim out of it. . None of this promoting child abuse and bringing x rated talk into the forum is part of the topic.
