Ben Fields: Hero or rogue cop?

I always felt his Whatever and Ever Amen album seemed a mite too angry, so I'm not surprised.

lol, though I listened to mostly classic rock through the 90's, I tapped into a little alt stuff like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, etc, but I'd never even heard of Ben Folds Five. :-[

hmmm.....seems she shoved him off before he grabbed her......

play stupid games....win stupid prizes....

funny he didn't do that to the other students??  oh wait!! that's right!  they were doing like they were supposed to

Kids attend school to get an education, not be subjected to violence incited by thug cops.

Only an idiot seeking provocation would start a thread asking if we think he's a hero

Not apparently that kid.  She had refused all orders from the teacher AND adminstrators.  She was disrupting the educational process for all those around her who were actually there to be educated.  After obstinately refusing to obey a single command of the educator and administration she had the law called on her.  How long do you think that process took?  Should she have known what was coming at that point?  Did she have time to re-think her rebellious dung?  Youbetcha.  But you fruitloops on the leftcoast keep thinking that Freud is the answer, and see how far that gets ya.

Prov 26:3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.

I think the COP over did it, but what is a school to do.

If someone is being disruptive and possibly violent should they leave her alone.

Should they let her continue to disrupt class and let her continue to prevent any one else from learning. Continue to verbally assult others.

What should the officer have done? I can assure you next time this happens the officer will say "What do you want me to do about it".

They don't even do that at my wife's work. She teaches at JUVENILE HALL. aka a CORRECTIONAL FACILITY.

She would NEVER allow the Correctional Officers to attack any of her students in this manner subjecting the other students to violence and risking being injured. Stupid  Cop needs to be fired. If my wife taught in that classroom, I'd be ******.

Now they've placed another child in danger.

He was arrested for video taping the incident - https://photographyisnotacrime.com/2015/10/south-carolina-deputy-attacks-high-school-student-in-class-for-being-verbally-disruptive/

Great. Guess what happens to kids who are criminalized like this by those paid to protect them? They become criminals as we taught them to be.

KUDDOS TO SOUTH CAROLINA  :D !!!! The COP WAS FIRED!!! SOME GOOD PEOPLE OVER THERE

Taser her next time
Yeah, stop her heart next time instead for disobeying. Kill her, she deserves it.

Let's also taser all the animals who disobey too. Kill them off too.

Her arm was broken during the assault, it's in a cast.

The FBI is investigating it. Brownie Point for Columbia, South Carolina 8)

Trayvon Martin was Obamas son, and apparently Biker has found his daughter.

He assaulted someone, a child in this case. No matter the gender

He is being investigated by the FBI and already fired by his employer, as he should be.

It's not Rocket Science

You're defending a delinquent.  But with your track record here, not surprised at all.  How long should the girl have been allowed to disrupt class?  How many other punks did she embolden with her antics?  We have an inversion of societal authority, and people like you are fools to jump on the libertarian bandwagon.

Pretty clear here. Alayman is right.

Rebellious children should be stoned at the city gates.

Smellin Coffee posted this Cops history of violence and lawsuits relating to such.
Its interesting how you ignore the truth about this Cops violent history... while conjruing up tales about this child having a history of being a delinquent.

Actually it seems you too are guilty of ignoring the truth of the whole story (I am not defending the school resource officer), but this student was causing trouble in the class and refused to respond to proper authority.  Try to be a little more even handed.  You can believe the officer over did it, without making the student look like and angel.
