Billy Graham and a quote from Wendell Evans.............

My cousin called me this morning and said when he was in chapel at Hyles-Anderson, Wendell Evans said, "The world would have been better off if Billy Graham had never been born since he was a compromiser."  How does a human being get that stupid and off base with the gospel?

I do not know your cousin, but I would say this is false information.  Preachers may have commented on Graham compromising (which he did), but the "better off not being born" would be a stretch.  Dr. Evans was always gracious and kind.

It was obvious Bob Jones was just jealous of the mass crowds Graham was getting. MacArthur, I don't even know why. The current IFB leaders are more gracious towards Graham's passing, some even praising him on their blogs, etc. Rice supported Graham all the way until 1957.

Per John R Rice's biography (auto-biography?), separating from BG was one of the hardest things he did.  Somewhere (here?) I read that everyone else had separated, but JRR was still friends with BG and supporting him.

Rice separated from Bob Gray?
