A former pastor of mine was banned from BJU by Bob Jr for having a Wheaton professor speak at his church. He even threatened to pull pastor's ordination. Eventually Bob III mended the fences and invited pastor back to Greenville to speak in chapel as an honored alumnus.

FWIW per the same former pastor, BJU had black students as far back as the late 40s. They were not banned from attending but they weren't allowed to date the white students.
