All of the Starbucks I have been in, it seems like they really like the "Flair!" 13 pieces is the minimum but we encourage you to "Express Yourself! 🤣

By "Coffee in the Capitalist World, I was wondering what capitalist entity you tend to purchase your prepared cuppa brew from.

I think I have told you this in the past but you really ought to sit down with a Hollywood Screenwriter sometime! I am betting they could come up with more than a few interesting "Characters" and at least a dozen or so story lines from you, RWS, and Deep Six! It would make an epic action-adventure!
well.... i was told on the old forum quite often i should put my accounts of our hunting stories in a book.... ...or at least submit them to some magazine that publishes hunting stories.... but i never did.... i was posting videos of decoy dog coyote hunting before and some people actually got offended by them.... so i can only imagine what they might think of a fully detailed wild pig hunting story.... in fact i do know coz a few people on the previous forum to this one did get offended by even the abbreviated versions i wrote... ...animal activists pop up everywhere it seems...... ...

a lot of the things i know about that happened in my dads line of work, would have made excellent book and story material - and a lot of paramedics around the country use to make good money writing accounts of their experiences... .... but a lot of that came to an end after the health information protection and privacy act became law... and the rest of it ended when those who disregarded that law got sued in court..... they are not allowed to tell about real cases anymore.... . . ..but i doubt he would have wanted to make money off his public service like that anyway....

and from the moment my sister started her career.. ..while she was still in college... she has been under contract that prevents giving out details about anything.... even vague details..... she use to tell people what kind of work she did... just not the actual details or who the various people they worked for were.... ....but now that she is further up in management she doesn;t even tell people that much.. ... plus the rules of her company have gotten more strict over the years too.... and she doesn;t tell me anything about anything anymore coz she knows i have a big mouth and can;t keep it shut..... ... besides she is working from her office most all of the time now anyway - and even when she wasn;t - she always said if her job was done right it was all very boring and uneventful anyway..... ..so i just assume that;s how it always is....

the world got a lot more dangerous over the past few years... .i sleep better now that he is retired and she is mostly here in her office..... .but even so i think reality - even in the most extreme cases - often comes out dull and unexciting compared to what hollywood comes up with... ..

Where do you purchase your coffee to bring into the sanctuary or to sit in front of the keyboard to post on the FFF?

The church has a coffee shop in the lobby (the proceeds go to our missionaries and local Christian charities), and our next-door neighbour is a gas station with a Tim Hortons kiosk.

I wouldn't make it a true story documentary or even "Based" upon a true story. Perhaps "Inspiried" by real life accounts but would definitely make the characters "larger than life" and with multiple backstories to give it a great deal of depth and give them personalities which lend to some comic relief. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of action heroes with "Fast and the Furious" and "Shameless" mixed in. You are some untamable "Wild Child" that no one understands but that everyone will fall in love with and will be rooting for by the end of the story. RWS is a mix of "Lara Croft" and "Trinity" (the Matrix) plus a female version of "Ethan Hunt" and "Jason Bourne" thrown in. She is like some "James Bond" type who is always out somewhere saving the world but is very protective of her sister. Deep Six is an old, burnt out Special Forces veteran who has grown cynical the entire world and just wants to be left alone and live the rest of his days in peace. But may God help anyone who messes with his "Little Girls" (although being able to take care of themselves is a gross understatement)! I guess you could put them in Hawaii but they could also be in the Appalachians or perhaps more in an urban setting or an enigmatic family in some middle-class suburb setting? There would be a tight family bond and chemistry with the immediate and extended family along the lines of "Fast and Furious."

From there, come up with a plot line that will keep you on the edge of your seats from beginning to end! It would be worthy of multiple Acadamy Awards but the woke Hollywood crowd would likely want you to just go away.

i had to think about this for a while... because it was like - - wow!... .in fact... i;m still thinking about it.... .i think i would be overwhelmed trying to put something like that together... it would all be way over the top and larger than life.... ...mind boggling to say the least... and my mind is already boggled on most days....

when i first joined this family my dads coworkers said they thought he looked like roddy piper.... i had no idea who they were talkng about but when i saw pictures of piper i had to agree that he kinda did..... (the retired from wrestling version of roddy piper) ...they are both of scottish ancestry so i guess it makes sense..... and you are right that he does come across as a little burned out and cynical at times... maybe most of the time.... but a lot of that is just from being busted up and in constant pain.... ...and after she had been training with heavy weights for a few years my sisters build started to remind me of a red headed gina carano.... they are about the same age.. same body build at the age they are.... i know some of the things she was trained to be able to do.... but i don;t think anything in her job comes close to what caranos characters do in her films... .. but then probably nothing gina carano does in real life matches all that either..... ..but the really scary thing is wondering who they could get to portray me....o_O. ...would a short hispanic version of the ghost from the japanese horror thriller the grudge be available?.... that might work.....;)

but as far as anything making the wokesters hate us.... well... they all hate us anyway.... even the ones who went woke in our own family.... they have basically shadow cancelled us already.... it;s kinda sad... but nothing we can do about it....

Anyone here ever tried Community Coffee, specifically, their coffee with chickory? I've heard about it and I am curious. I ordered a small box of K cups.

That’s what we mainly use at home. Good stuff!

We got introduced to that brand on vacation in New Orleans quite a few years ago. We also use Cafe Bustelo for Cuban style coffee and Cafe Du Monde for the French style, but we mainly use Community for our day-to-day stuff.

I have seen Cafe Bustelo around here; a coworker made some up in the break room once. I tasted it and it was definitely better than ordinary break room coffee.

I have heard about the New Orleans style of coffee. Lately I have been noticing a bunch of roadside weeds and much to my surprise discovered they're chicory. It got me curious so I ordered the Community Coffee. On Amazon, it's even more expensive than Peet's.

i have never watched the tv show yellowstone.... but apparently the actor cole hauser has started his own coffee brand called free rein that he says is based on that show and cowboys..... ...

interesting..... i do know something about real cowboy coffee... . our dad introduced it to us on a hunting trip once..... basically it;s just soaking a pound of ground coffee... (any kind brand of coffee)..... in a bucket of water over night then placing the bucket on the fire in the morning.... once it starts to boil you seal the top of the bucket and dip it a cold stream... a bank of snow... or whatever coldest thing you have is....(we had a cooler of ice with us...) ...that causes the suspended coffee grounds to fall to the bottom of the bucket..... then all you do is open the bucket and dip your coffee cup in it and enjoy.... (if it;s possible to enjoy something so strong it could float a horse-shoe).....😲 .....

but anyway.... i wonder how hausers coffee will taste brewed the old cowboy way.......:coffee:

my dad says the only thing stronger than cowboy coffee is trucker coffee... which he would never let us try because it;s so strong it;s dangerous for non-truck driver civilians to even sample..... he described it as being so strong that if you leave the lid off a thermos filled with it the coffee will climb out and walk away... :sneaky: ....

awesome.... ..a few minutes ago i received a request from the carpeted office asking if could bring the occupant - who i have not seen outside that office even once in the past week - a full pot of coffee.... it;s brewing now.... she also asked for a butter and honey sandwich on toasted pumpernickle ..😲 ..never heard of that before.... but it;s ready to go ... just waiting for the coffee.... i have a feeling it;s going to be an unusually busy saturday....
