Anyone got the latest news on my old Alma Mater? How are my favorite alums out there?

Anyone in touch with Alex Peterson, our beloved founder and chancellor? Last I heard, he was up in Ill-i-noise but that was some time back. I met him in person once when he came out to one of our blues jams where I was thumping on my bass but that was about 10 years or so ago! :cool:

Is Pickle U now a cult? Any juicy scandals? Has it gone liberal? Has it gone leeegelistic? Have the worms eaten into Dr. Peterson's brain?

I think it would be cool if President Trump received a "Doctorate of Swamp Draining!" Wouldn't that be cool and wouldn't it be so cool to have a "Pickle U Alum" in the White House??? As Navin R Johnson once said - "Things are going to start happening to me now!!!"

If I mounted my Pickle U. doctorate next to my high-school diploma, bachelor's degree, and college diploma, I'd only need a master's degree to complete the set.
 
I still proudly bear my Fa.D, Doctorate of Forum Addiction.

My thesis was a rewrite of Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love. It was brilliant. If I could find it I'd repost it but I'm afraid it's been lost to time and the change of FFF iterations.

Ditto. I still might have a copy, but it's sitting on an old, incompatible hard drive now.

This is true. I don't think Pickle U. ever sullied its reputation be awarding a doctorate to a horse (a horse's ass maybe, but not to a horse).

there was a pair of pug dogs named ethos and athos who received doctorates... ..(urned docs)..... i think either smellincoffee or a poster named wang-fu owned them...... . .

Like a mother-daughter relationship or something like that? I don't remember, exactly, but it sounds familiar. Could be.

I was actually thinking of justmama when I called her "late great." That said, a quick search of the forum dug up a post from Smellin Coffee saying Wang also passed away about five years ago. She was his mother-in-law.

I remember Wang Fu fondly along with Emmos and Athos, her beloved pugs! Had to watch out for that egg flipper though!!!
