The man who can barely complete a post without using the words "liberal socialist democrat" is accusing other people of never meeting a liberal stereotype they didn't repeat. The man who sends Russ Limbaugh money and actually tells somebody is accusing other people of never meeting a liberal stereotype they didn't repeat. The man who loves to post articles from right wing publications is accusing other people of never meeting a liberal stereotype they didn't repeat. The man who post articles that he thinks makes "liberal stupid" is accusing other people of never meeting a liberal stereotype they didn't repeat.

A little like if Trump accused Obama of being a womanizer :D

The sad thing about this is that he actually pastors a church! Can you believe that? There are sheep who actually listen to this "man" spout this filth from the pulpit. I can only imagine what happens in that pulpit on Sunday morning.
People wonder why the church is such a joke right now, pastors who have sold their soul to the Beast. Yahweh isn't his God, he serves the god of this world. He doesn't bow to Mecca, he bows to D.C.

In all honesty, I see much of Tarheel as a gentleman who is portraying a caricature, that he goes to an extreme simply to stir some embers to watch the flames dance. Sometimes I play along.

And I myself portray a caricature from time to time to do some stirring of my own. ;)

Those of you who support mass emigration from Islamic countries have clearly not traveled to the Middle East to see what freedom is like under Islamic rule. You have clearly not seen the oppression that faces those of other religions in those nations.

Those of you who want to continue to let in emigrants who do not embrace our values & who do not want to assimilate have clearly never traveled to parts of Europe who are facing major changes to their culture and even their way of life by the masses of refugees flooding their countries.

France, Germany, Northern Italy, Sweden, Norway and Croatia are all being rocked by the effects of mass emigration. The number 1 reason England pulled out of the EU was to attempt to control their border and regain control of their culture. These countries are facing major cultural and legal changes because of the flood of refugees into their countries who refuse to assimilate.

I challenge all of you to talk to your missionaries in Europe and in Islamic countries. Ask them about the changes they have seen in the past 10 years do to emigration and the influx of refugees. Ask them about changing attitudes regarding pro-Islamic & pro Sharia laws. Ask them about the cultural changes in areas with large concentrations of refugees. Ask them about the refugees views of other religions and of America in general.

I understand this is their religion and their culture, but in many cases it is not compatible with our culture. Their views on things like women's rights, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, civil rights, second amendment, eight amendment and fourteenth amendment rights are just not compatible with ours.

Throughout the bible God warned his people not to mix with cultures that served false Gods.

They were to protect their way or living and their way of life.

We should be wary of cultures who seek to outlaw our freedom of worship and assembly. We must protect the freedoms our forefathers fought so hard to get.

God told Israel as a country not to mix cultures. Christian would told to go and make disciples.

I really don't know any Muslims in the US that want to outlaw our freedom of worship and assembly. Our freedom of religion pertains to all including Muslims or we do not have freedom of religion.

1. We are not "God's people" in the same sense OT Israel was.

2. Israel was a theocracy. We are a democratic republic.

3. Immigration happened in the OT and there were laws to assist AND programs in place to help care for them.

4. Immigrants were to be treated fairly.

5. ISIS is creating refugees amongst even Muslim countries. Why? Because they are PEACEFUL Muslims.

6. Our forefathers fight for freedom was very primitive (to be kind). There was limited to no freedom for the slave and woman sufferage was not presented by them either.

7. Our forefathers "fight for freedom" also included stealing land from natives that already occupied the land, using violence and bully tactics, beginning a reign of white supremacy.

In the end, maybe you are right. We have an example of immigrants taking over a country from its native citizenry, wreaking havoc and creating discord and death. That example is our own forefathers. In essence, we white folks are ALL descendents of 'illegal' immigrants.

That is merely because they don't have sufficient numbers. In EVERY country where they are the majority,  freedom of worship is restricted.

It is their plan - they first seek accommodation for their beliefs, and, when they become strong enough, they impose their beliefs.

Hang out at one of the mosques in New York, Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta or even Cedar Rapids and you will find out there are many good Muslims in this country who have integrated into our culture or who are from the United States and have converted to Islam and are our friends and neighbors. You will also find a large sub group who do not have any intention of integrating and have disdain for our values and freedoms.

The problem is as this sub group of our culture grows it can be very difficult to tell them apart. These are not easy issues but we only complicate matters when we allow large numbers of Immigrants from areas that are known to hate us.

Why is the idea of careful vetting of those that we allow into our home so hated by the left. Why is an attempt to control & regulate who we allow in so distasteful to some. Since the 1980's we have issued an average of  1 million green cards a year regardless of what party was in the white house.

So there is a big Muslim meeting somewhere where they all get together and plan this. Look at the governments of the countries they come from to come to the US. They are fleeing these countries to get here. Truth is there a some fundamental preachers to hear them talk want to impose their type of Christianity on us. When go through these terrors with what we are not familiar with...JFK shouldn't be president because he would be loyal to Rome before the US.  There are Muslims who fight in our armed forces before they believe in defending the freedoms we have. You can't broad paint Christians and you can't broad paint Muslims.

I heard some sermon claimin that most of the foreign Middle East refugees are actually our brothers in Christ fleeing persecution. This article is from last year;

The size of the immigrant population from 2010 to 2014 2.4 million in four years. Source is the Migration Policy Institute. The top ten nations of immigrants were Mexico, India, China, Philippines, El Salvador, Vietnam, Cuba, Korea, Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. These countries make up 60% of the immigrant population. None of the 60% are Muslim countries.

I have never heard a liberal say they didn't want vetting. Of all the countries that accept the US has the most comprehensive vetting. If there are areas were the vetting should be improved then let's do it. We don't need a travel ban to improve on what is the most comprehensive vetting already in place.

It is also hard to believe that Trump has pure motives when you look at some of his quotes:

Think how Trump started his campaign in June 2015. "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best. They're not sending you...they're send people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with them. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume are good people."  He had nothing to back this up but it didn't stop him from saying it.

In December 2015 in Charleston South Carolina he called for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.

In September 2015 he said "We have to have a wall. We have to have a border. And in that wall we're going to have a big fat door where people can come into the country, but they have to come in legally." He states this in spite of the fact that 1.7 million illegal immigrants crossed the border in 2005 and it was down to 170,000 in 2005.

These statements to me demonstrate that he doesn't care about real facts but is willing to appeal to our worse fears to get elected and control his base.

You are wrong that the left doesn't want to vet. There is reason to doubt the President's motives in what he does when the truth does not appear important.

Precisely.

There are Christian refugees fleeing persecution in the Middle East. Our church is helping to settle a few families here in Ottawa.

It's unlikely that "most" are Christians, however. According to the Pew Research Center, 46% of the refugees entering the United States last year were Muslims, compared with 44% that were Christians.

So according to Lev 19:34, we are to get them and treat them like second class citizens?

One, I implied nothing of the kind.

Two, refugees aren't any class of citizens. They're legal resident aliens.

To those of you who support bringing refugees here, would you be happy with U.S. funded settlements in safe zones in the middle east?  Would it not be better for all involved if they got a fresh start in the region of the world in which they come from, in an area where their culture is embraced and accepted. Why must they come here, to a culture so different from their own? It cost 3 to 5 times as much to bring someone here than to settle and support them in Eastern Europe or the Middle East.

I would also ask, why don?t you advocate bringing large numbers of refugees from the African continent. Is it a racial or cultural thing or what? 1.5 billion people live on the African continent. 3.1 million Children under 5 die each year in Sub-Saharan Africa alone. Many die because of Poor nutrition and lack of basic medicine. 100,000's of people are killed and millions are displaced each year due to wars and unrest. At least 12 to 20 million people are in dire need of food, clean water, and basic sanitation as we speak.
Why must we bring refugees here, when so many others need our help around the world?

With limited resources it seems heartless to bring such a few here and let so many starve elsewhere.

Where did you get the 3 to 5 times figure.

We are the wealthiest and greatest country in the world so why would we not want people here?

Few countries would have ability to assimilate people the way that the US is able.

If we are speaking of Muslim folks there are enough here for them to be able to make the transition.

I am not sure who you think is not advocating bringing refugees from anywhere in the world where people meet the definition of a refuge.  Trump with his 7 nations made this a Muslim issue.

I am not sure why you are making this an either/or proposition. We can't fix everything and we can't take all refugees but as the wealthiest nation in the world we should do what we can. We will be stronger for it.

Would someone tell this joker that we are $20 trillion in debt and another $100 trillion in unfunded entitlements?

"Assimilate" means they want to become American.  That means they would be open to our Christian heritage.  They are generally not, when speaking of the Mooslum onslaught.

They want Sharia law, where they can rape our women and blame it on the women.  America has plenty of half-naked women walking around just ripe for Sharia.

I personally know several Iranian immigrants.  They are good Americans and not here to press for a change to Sharia.  Mr. Trump is wise in wanting to control who comes here.  Only a fool would not.

America is about the freedom to practice any religion, not just Christianity. That does not mean they would necessarily be "open" to Christianity. (FYI, "Christian" heritage is a joke. This country was never "Christian".)

OK, so you know this how? How are 4-year old girls who have been victimized by rape over and over, fleeing with their mothers to get away from the danger, plan to promote Sharia law?

Nobody is denying vetting. But Trump is playing the "look at the card in this hand" trick by creating a "violent immigrant crisis" which does not yet exist. If time allows, just wait and see.
