If a person truly believes that God creates some for destruction why risks having children and them being created for destruction?

Vasectomy would be in order.
Well we have children due to our natural drive that is in us. We can't put our children in the center of our lives. We teach our children the Gospel, you know, faith comes by hearing, and pray that God would save them. If he doesn't, that's his will.
Btw, I have 2 small boys.

How can you serve this "image" of God you've made? How? I can't fathom it. Its beyond me how you say such things as if.... It is.... what... it is......

We can't put our children in the center of our lives.

Nope. Children are just possessions. Here one day. Gone the next. Elect or not........ they can't be the "center of our lives".....

Its just so pitiful..... PITIFUL....
So, you live in a  child centered home? Or do you teach them in the precepts of faith? Do you give them the Gospel?

Sure. My home is a child centered home. Every home should be a child centered home. They sure don't "serve me". You should your Bible a little more..

2Co 12:14  Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

Sure. I give my children the Gospel. In your world... The Gospel is USELESS unless God has predestined them.

Who says my children serve me?? Did you read that?? Or are you showing your own prejudices?
Who says your children will get saved anyway? How do you know your children's hearts. How do you know their future?

Pray tell.... if you DON'T have a child centered home.... just what do you have? Do you have some OTHER adults living there that are the center of "your lives"????
Who says your children will get saved anyway? How do you know your children's hearts. How do you know their future?

My children have the hope of the Gospel message. YOUR...."idolatrous nonsense" denies such hope to children that have been "predetermined" by the divine action of God Himself. There is NO HOPE in such nonsense. NONE. You can't even begin to compare such polar opposites.

Yet you call this JUNK you believe..... LOVE. Its an insult to common sense to believe such JUNK!!!

So the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for our payment of sin is "idolatrous nonsense"? Interesting.

Nope. Calvinism is idolatrous nonsense.

It pretends its present "god" and its presenting nothing more than a "imaginary image" of God. We call this an "idol".

I've seen reasonable arguments against TULIP before...

<~~ again not a Calvinist

...but all I've seen on this thread challenging the points are ravings abd gnashing of teeth.

Its a good thing you're not the judge of anything.

You haven't put any real time into knowing anything different.

I'm a formerly Armianian, post-Calvinistic Bible believer who can cite the majority of the relevant prooftexts.

Clearly, I haven't put any time into it. 8)

Who knows nothing about Corporate Election!!! If you haven't moved PAST.... Armianian and Calvinist debate.... then you haven't learned much of anything.... both arguments are overly childish. They really..... should only peak your curiosity. You might want to do some real leg work..... and start from the beginning. Do your own research and stop following others.

Tell me, what have you learned that hasn't already been taught since the beginning? Everything you know has already been taught it learned from somebody else.

Actually, I'd be more interested in what CU thinks I believe since he just told me I'm following others. Of course, this could just be a case of him telling other folks what they supposedly believe and then lashing out against that...kind of like the entirety of these two threads he's started.

So, if He chooses not to save them and He has in His good pleasure created them for destruction, Praise the Lord for this, correct?

Also, praise Him that He would use you to create the damndable, correct?

Whatever!! I'm done with you. I've spent hundreds of posts interacting with you..... and you have the gall to say I don't know what you believe. I've wasted enough time on you!

How much time have you spent reading after Calvin? Compare that to the time you've spent establishing your own theology!!!

I never said I had something new. I have spent many years establishing my own theology. I did the work. I made it my own. I didn't stand on the work of others. I built it precept upon precept.

O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” 21 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?

22 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, 24 even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Yes, praise God.  He knows what he's doing, and I trust him with it.

I'm sorry but if I believed this I would absolutely not have children. Sorry.
