Do you wear pink lace on your undies?!!

There are number of jobs that expose both men and women to the most base and vile people. My DIL is a behavioral health counselor for a large company with many government contracts. Her job has required her to deal with people and situations that are very vile. She sees this a her calling and a way to help provide for the family. My step-son is in full time ministry so the salary is needed keep them living at a moderate life style.
People take jobs for various reasons and people either reject or leave jobs where they are not comfortable. I really think that it is between God and the woman to decided what they can tolerate and whether it is a prison guard or counselor or any job that causes a woman to be exposed to the vile side of life. Let the woman make the decision unless the job is illegal, unethical or immoral.
Or depend on God to provide a job that does not expose a lady to these conditions.

Little sanctimonious for you to be deciding for people that God hasn't provided this job for them. In the case of my DIL she believes she is in the place that God want her. My guess is God would be showing her before he shows you where people should be working

I'm referring to female jail/prison guards.

So are you saying that only female prison guards are subject to lewd behavior? I used my DIL as an example but it would apply to a woman who believed God had given her the job as a prison guard.

There is a difference between the jobs of a behavioral health counselor and a female prison guard in a male prison.

No one said that a woman "can't" do the job. The question is should a lady "do" the job and daily subject herself to hearing and seeing vile behavior.

At what point does one decide that a job that an honest job that needs to be done is too "vile" whether you are a man or a woman?
Reading the job description before the interview?Twisted said:LongGone said:RAIDER said:Sherryh said:I've reread the posts and I still don't understand why a woman should not work in jail or prisons. Probably during the interview.
Sherryh said:It's not until you get into the job that you will decide I cant work here..for me its working with a terrible boss. I will never do that again. Anywhere you work there are things that are not going to be what you expect. A" lady" if she's working in the real world will pick her battles. Bad language and dealing with harassment exist..... again you pick your battles.

Would you agree that there are some places that it would be best that a Christian lady not be employed?
Which no doubt should come from the Word of God.LongGone said:RAIDER said:Sherryh said:It's not until you get into the job that you will decide I cant work here..for me its working with a terrible boss. Jobs that are illegal, unethical or immoral. Beyond that it is the decision of the woman based on her guidance from God.
