Still avoiding your error by casting dispersion on others?

I'll ask again
You stated "The Koran never says anything like this. I don't find this teaching in Buddhism. But, not being that much of an expert on them, I will not make an issue of that." You made it an issue, you can't make an emphatic statement then try to squirm out by stating you are not an expert. If you are not an expert, retract the emphatic statements that you made about Islam and Buddhism. You can't have it both ways, you either know, or you don't know, not both. So, which is it?

You are as manipulative and twist people's arguments as well as any IFBXR dictator that I have dealt with and I've dealt with some of the best.

Also, do you really think Islam and the followers of Confucius are the only other religions out there besides Christianity?

The material point was that the message of the song is ambiguous enough to be accepted by practically any religion or even those that don't practice a religion or even believe in God or any god.

Certainly, in his own mind, he must be an expert. As stated:

"I agree. Someone familiar with the Bible's teaching on the tongue would readily understand the ultimate basis of these lyrics. These do not come from Buddhist or Muslim teachings. Aleshanee was unable to support her claim. Your attempt to equate this with the passages above from Buddhism and the Koran is blatantly absurd. If you think the Koran and Confusious are teaching the truth about our speech bringing life, hope and love then you are on the wrong forum. "

You have to know your stuff if you're going to pull a "my way or highway" ...or do you?

Also, on a side note, Admin seems to think Buddhism and the teachings of Confucius are somehow interchangeable. Though they are similar in points but with very different origins and founders etc. An expert would know this.

An admonition:

"Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance"  Confucius

So... this thread demonstrates quite well that there are a few on this forum, so protective of their own musical choices, that they will become utterly absurd and sound as if they are unbelievers themselves... sound like another form of traditionalism?

Read that and thought wow, that's the pot calling the kettle black if I have ever heard it. You are describing yourself and your defence of that TobyMac song.

Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  Or to put it another way Matthew 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

The fruit that proceeds from our hearts takes form in the words we speak.

Ephesians 4:29-32 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Paul presents a picture of the repugnant (and non-edifying) nature of rotten speech, which like rotten fruit or fish (now that's a smell you really want to avoid), that will not nourish anyone. Instead the rotten fare contaminates, sickens, smells foul and creates an unpleasant atmosphere for all who come near. Using this vivid metaphor Paul commands believers to put off speech like one would toss out rotten fruit or fish!

Proceed is a very picturesque verb, giving the sense that once the word (with the thought) has taken wing from our tongues, we cannot capture it.

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Psalms 141:3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Psalms 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Proverbs 15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

I am the only one who showed, using Scripture, that speaking life, hope and love is a Christian quality.

Unless you believe Buddhists and Muslims speak the same quality of life, hope and love, your feeble attempts to disregard the Scriptural themes have been interesting.
No, you quoted Proverbs 18:21 and then dismissed quoting anything else. You also never tried to show using
scripture that speaking life, hope and love is a Christian quality. Let me quote again what you said.
"The Bible tells us over and over that the tongue brings life and death...

Here is the most poignant verse. Prov 18:21 - The tongue has the power of life and death.

That has never been the point. No one is saying that the scriptures don't teach principles of life hope and love. What some are trying to say is that the song does not, or more specifically the song does not say it in manner that is clearly scriptural. I believe it alludes to it, yes, but teaches it? No.

This has been an enlightenjng thread. Some traditionalists, to cover their music preference choices...

1) will call songs about falling to the ground, in a drunken stupor, biblical.

2) tell us they see Buddhist and Muslim teachings in a song about speaking life, hope and love.

3) tell us the Bible might have one reference to our life-giving, hope-offering, loving speech

So... this thread demonstrates quite well that there are a few on this forum, so protective of their own musical choices, that they will become utterly absurd and sound as if they are unbelievers themselves... sound like another form of traditionalism?

Are your listed attributes Christian and taught in scripture ...absolutely!

Are they exclusively Christian?

No, I've heard similar themes in several sources including secular. I'm not sure why you're trying to confine everything outside of scripture to the teachings of Buddha or Islam.

What about secular sources such psychology?

Even that isn't the main point. Once again I repeat:

"The material point was that the message of the song is ambiguous enough to be accepted by practically any religion or even those that don't practice a religion or even believe in God or any god."

as such it's about as biblically exclusive as something you'd hear in a Joel Osteen sermon.

Thats the only scripture you used. So, no , you did not "show using scripture".
If I kept changing what I said, you would nail me to the wall for it. Admin, you keep changing what you said. You tried to nail aleshanee to the wall for making a broad statement, yet here you go making one yourself, and then back-pedal by trying to change what you said.

The fact that the scriptures teach those principles has never been the point. No one is saying that the scriptures don't teach principles of life hope and love. How is this even debatable? Listen to the song. No mention of Christ, God or Jesus.

Our speech brings life and death... have you not read that in the Bible?

Then I guess you must have cut the book of Esther out of your Bible because there is no mention of God in that book.

This is getting absurd... the sad thing is that it is highlighting how many people are not familiar with the Bible's teachings on the "tongue/speech."

This is ridiculous. I don't mind the song but it is not a Christian song. Only an idiot would disagree, surely you see this admin?

It sounds like you are suggesting that any song which mentions "life" or "tongue" or "speech" is Christian?

Or just because a song mentions Biblical values it is somehow Christian? That would include several Country songs.

This is not worth debating. It's like debating whether red is a color. The song doesn't mention anything about God, the Bible, etc. therefore it is not a Christian song. It's very simple.

Oh my! Too easy... aleshanee... we get it. You do not like tobyMac. Fine. However, you do not need to chuck everything on the altar of ignorance.

Whether or not you like her or don't like her; agree with her or disagree with her; ignorant is not descriptive of Aleshanee. That word is thrown around far too easily in my opinion.

[quote author=aleshanee]i would say that not only do the lyrics of every toby mac song i ever heard fit into that category but so does many of the things you profess to believe here....... his lyrics are loaded with esoterica that express ideas and beliefs common to many religions but don;t make specific reference to any one in particular.... ........ ..... Okay. You can pull a wiki definition. Of course, then you reveal that you have no clue what gnosticism actually teaches/taught by attaching attributes to it that are directly opposed to both the definition you provided and what it actually teaches.

Honestly, this is too easy. I count thirteen times where Jesus is mentioned by name here. He's also alluded to several others along with a ton of other Biblical references/prinicples:

(What will people think
When they hear that I'm a Jesus Freak?
What will people do
When they find that's it's true?)

(Oh oh)
(Oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)

Separated, I cut myself clean
From a past that comes back in my darkest of dreams
Been apprehended by a spiritual force
And a grace that replaced all the me I've ever lost

I saw a man with tat on his big fat belly
It wriggled around like marmalade jelly
It took me a while to catch what it said
Cause I had to match the rhythm
Of his belly with my head
'Jesus Saves' is what it raved in a typical tattoo green
He stood on a box in the middle of the city
And claimed he had a dream
He said

What will people think
When they hear that I'm a Jesus freak
What will people do when they find that it's true
(Oh oh oh)
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak
There ain't no disguising the truth
(Oh oh oh)
(Ain't no disguising the truth, no I ain't hiding the truth)

Kamikaze, my death be his gain
I've been marked by my Maker
A peculiar display
The high and lofty, they see me as weak
But I won't live and die for the power they seek

There was a man from the desert with naps in his head
The sand that he walked was also his bed
The words that he spoke made the people assume
There wasn't too much left in the upper room
With skins on his back and hair on his face
They thought he was strange by the locusts he ate
The Pharisees tripped when they heard him speak
Until the king took the head off this Jesus freak

What will people think
When they hear that I'm a Jesus freak
What will people do when they find that it's true
(Oh oh)
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak
There ain't no disguising the truth
(Oh oh oh)

What will people think
When they hear that I'm a Jesus freak
What will people do when they find that it's true
(Oh oh)
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak
There ain't no disguising the truth
(Oh oh oh)
(No I aint die'n)

People say I'm strange, does it make me a stranger
That my best friend was born in a manger
People say I'm strange, does it make me a stranger
That my best friend was born in a manger

What will people think
When they hear that I'm a Jesus freak
What will people do when they find that it's true
(Oh oh)
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak
There ain't no disguising the truth
(Oh oh oh)

What will people think

What will people do when they find that it's true
(Oh oh)
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak
There ain't no disguising the truth
(Oh oh oh)

What will people think
(What will people think)
What will people do
(What will people do)
I don't really care
(What else can I say)
There ain't no disguising the truth
(Jesus is the way)

So you admit it is not a Christian song? It just has a biblical concept .

That would include several Country songs.: poisoning the well argument
This is not worth debating. It's like debating whether red is a color.: non sequitor and you are debating it, so this is moot.
The song doesn't mention anything about God, the Bible, etc. therefore it is not a Christian song. It's very simple.: you ignore the fact that even a book in the Bible does not mention anything about God and it is a book in the Bible... however, this is a nonsequitor. The concept of "speak life" is CERTAINLY biblical.

Oh well... if posters here cannot see the biblical concept, what more can be said?

Pages filled with a holy message
Sealed with a kiss from heaven
On a scroll long ago
Phrases, words that were bound together
Now have the power to sever
Like a sword evermore

Heed the words divinely spoken
May your restless heart be broken
Let the supernatural take hold

[chorus]
There is love in the red letters
There is truth in the red letters
There is hope for the hopeless
Peace and forgiveness
There is life in the red letters
In the red letters

One man came to reveal a mystery
Changing the course of history
Made the claim he was God
Ageless, born of a virgin Mary
Spoke with a voice that carried through the years
It's persevered

Heed the words divinely spoken
May your restless heart be broken
Let the supernatural take hold

[repeat chorus]

[bridge]
What You say moves me, revelation, come and take me
The more I look (the more I look) the more I see (the more I see)
The Word of God (the Word Of God) is what I need

Oh yeah, oh yeah
Yeah, it's the book of love
Yeah, yeah, yeah
It's the book of love
That moves

[repeat chorus]

(Waitin' for you)
(Comin' to you)
(Do you see it?)
(I believe it)

Speak to me, breathe in me new life [x2]
Let Him in your heart [x4]

it seems i remember another group called something dc that recorded that almost 20 years ago)
......but congratulations anyway......  :)

You have no idea who Tobymac is, do you?

do you use that song in your worship service?.......

No...

...we also don't use Just as I am or Victory in Jesus. Doesn't make either one of those appropriate.

and just out of curiosity.... what do you think of the lyrics to this song?..... would this song be acceptable for worship?....[/font][/size][/color]

...Yes! I think it's too late.[/quote]

Why would I think a song that proclaims things that are completely antithetical to God's revelation is acceptable for worshiping Him?

Since Admin lacks the ability to admit or answer any of my questions I'll speak of him in the third person:

It seems he makes two accusations of Aleshanee:

1. She is ignorant of scripture
2. She is ignorant of Tobymac's repertoire

With the zeal of his defense one would think that the two were the same.

Getting back to the power of speech and the use of the tongue;  if these principles are unique to scripture then Dr. Phil must be considered a theologian.

Admin does not get it.

Admin believes any song that has a positive leaning is a God honoring song that should be played in church.

One would think that with the vehemence admin defends TobyMac, he would be familiar with his repetoire. Surely then he is happy to defend songs like:

"J Train"
(feat. Kirk Franklin)

[CHORUS]
I got a ticket, I got a ticket
I got a ticket to ride
(Gotta a ticket to ride to the other side)
I got a ticket, I got a ticket
I got a ticket to ride
(Gotta ticket to ride to the other side)

Ride ride wanna ride on the J Train
On the J Train wanna ride on the J Train
Ride ride wanna ride on the J Train
On the J Train wanna ride on the J Train

Sit back, relax put on your travelin' gear
No need to doubt so put aside your fear
"Destination" out of this atmosphere
It's the J Train baby, we depart from right here
No lines to fight no ticket to price
I'm rollin' first class 'cause I've seen the light
Try as you may but your money can't buy
A ticket on the J Line to the other side

[CHORUS]

Now I missed the Train more than once in my life
Til' the good conductor heard my Momma's cry
Hades to Glory in the blink of an eye
Hear me now, hear me now while I testify
Heard the whistle blow I felt a chill to the bone
"All aboard" is what I heard I was headed for home
Had a reclinable seat but I just had to stand
Up on the "J" all the way to the promise land

[CHORUS]

Do you wanna ride say
To the other side say
If you wanna ride say
Get on the Freak Line

Or this:

"Toby's Mac"

This is my skizzle.
For Izzle.

Uh-uh
Do what?
What-what? What?

Now when I say, "Where my freaks?" You can say, "Woo-woo."
So where my freaks?

Where my freaks?
(Woo-woo)

When I say, "Where my freaks?" You can say, "Woo-woo."

[Toby:] You on the mic again?
Yes...
[Toby:] You know you're not supposed to be in here.
WHY??
[Toby:] It's daddy's studio.
Ok Daddy!
I can't get off the chair!

Or this:
"Made For Me"

Yea, here we go
1, 2, 3

She was 17 when she came on the scene
I saw her down the hall and thought that I was in a dream
See she was from the islands
Which had this brother smiling
Little did I know that I'd be on this, mic testifying

I like sunsets but she likes sunrise
I'm always running late and she's always on time
But I like U2 and she like Coldplay
But something tells me we're gonna be OK

'Cause she was made for me
You gave 'er to me
I said I'd hold on loosely but I so wanna squeeze you
Just right for me and for the life of me
I can't believe I get to call her mine

Yeah she was made for me
Made for me
Yeah she was made for me
Made for me

Next chapter, we got hitched
And thought we'd have some kids
Looked up and now we got five little Jamaricans

I thank God every day
I'm blessed in a crazy way
My God said to the end
This thing we got is cool like shake (Note: What does "cool like shake" mean to you admin? I have a specific meaning for the word shake that comes from pre-salvation, care to interpret this, cause my meaning of shake is mary jane.) http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=shake

I like sunsets but she likes sunrise
I'm always running late and she's always on time
Well I like hip-hop and she likes raggae
So we meet in the middle with some Shattie

'Cause she was made for me
You gave 'er to me
I said I'd hold on loosely but I so wanna squeeze you
Just right for me and for the life of me
I can't believe I get to call her mine

Yeah she was made for me
Made for me
Yeah she was made for me
Made for me

She is a flower, You are the rain
She gets more beautiful with every passing day
She is my flower and You are the sun
She gets more beautiful because of how You love
How You love

I get to call her mine
I get to call her mine, oh my

See she like slow dates and I like fast dates
She into books, I'm into movies
She made straight As
Well I got white skin and she got brown skin
But milk and coffee's always been a beautiful blend

She was made for me
When You gave 'er to me
I said I'd hold on loose but I so wanna squeeze you
Just right for me and for the life of me
I can't believe I get to call her mine

She was made for me
When You gave 'er to me
I said I'd hold on loose but I so wanna squeeze you
Just right for me and for the life of me
I can't believe I get to call her mine

And she was made for me
She was made, she was made
Made for me
And she was made for me
She was made, she was made
Made for me

She was made, she was made for me (I get to call her mine)
She was made, she was made for me (I get to call her mine, oh my)

Or this:

"Eye On It"

Eye on it, eye on it
Eye on it, eye on it

Eye on it
Eye on it
Eye on it, eye on it

I set my eyes to the west, walkin' away from it all
Reachin' for what lies ahead, I got my eye on it
I see my sweat hit the ground
I put my foot in the block
This is the race of my life
And I can't wait for this shot

'Cause I can feel the wind at my back
Chest is pumpin' like a heart attack
Feet are moving and my mind is locked
Pressin' on with everything I got

I got my eye on it
I got my eye on it
I got my eye on it
Eye on it

I got my eye on the prize, I got my eye on it
I got my eye on the prize, I got my eye on it
I got my eye on the prize, I got my eye on it
I got my eye on it, and I will not quit

I got a new passenger to help me navigate the way
So when my heart hits the floor I can recalibrate
I feel the deeper callin' me, all else is fadin' in the past
So let me run in the race that I know is built to last

'Cause I can feel the wind at my back
Chest is pumpin' like a heart attack
Feet are moving and my mind is locked
Pressing on I gotta take my shot

I got my eye on it
I got my eye on it
I got my eye on it
Eye on it

I got my eye on the prize, I got my eye on it
I got my eye on the prize, I got my eye on it
I got my eye on the prize, I got my eye on it
I got my eye on the prize and I will not quit

(I will not quit, eye on it
Eye on it, eye on it
Eye on it
Eye on it, will not quit
Eye on it)

Eye on it

I got my (Eye on it)
I got my (Eye on it)
I got my eye on the prize, I got my (Eye on it)
I got my eye on the prize and I will not quit
And I will not quit

Or this:

"Lose Myself"

Take all of the good and all of the bad
'Cause all of it's on me
Take all of my ways, the things that I chase
The things that control me

And all that I hide, could you bring me to life?
Could you open my eyes and show me?
Take all that was me and shape it to be
Reflecting you soully

I wanna lose myself, lose myself to find you
I wanna lose myself, lose myself to find you

I don't care how it sounds
Burn it up to the ground
Your kingdom, my desire
I wanna lose myself, lose myself to find
To find you
(I need to find you/I need to find you)

As all of the fates, I'll be on my way
The wreckage behind me
My feet on the ground, Two hands reaching out
The future is blinding

So what is stirring in you? May you stir up in me
All the dreams that you placed inside me
Take all that you see and shape it to be
The story you're writing

I wanna lose myself, lose myself to find you
I wanna lose myself, lose myself to find you

I don't care how it sounds
Burn it all to the ground
Consume me with your fire
I wanna lose myself, lose myself to find
To find you

I need to find you...
I need to find you...
I need to find you...

I need to find you...
I need to find you...
I need to find you...

So do not hide your face from me
Do not hide your face
Do not hide your face from me
Please don't hide

I'm gonna lose myself, lose myself to find
To find you
I need to find you...
I need to find you...
I need to find you...
I need to find you...

So do not hide your face from me
Do not hide
So do not hide your face from me
Do not hide

I need to find you..

So do not hide your face from me
Do not hide
So do not hide your face from me
Do not hide

So do not hide your face from me
Please don't hide your face

So, admin, I submit there is almost nothing Christian about TobyMac's music, except for the odd tidbit. You have held him up as a decidedly Christian artist. Need more examples of the junk tripe he is spouting?

Admin thinks this is a christian God honoring song.

"Man In The Mirror"

I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .

As I, Turn Up The Collar On My
Favourite Winter Coat
This Wind Is Blowin' My Mind
I See The Kids In The Street,
With Not Enough To Eat
Who Am I, To Be Blind?
Pretending Not To See
Their Needs
A Summer's Disregard,
A Broken Bottle Top
And A One Man's Soul
They Follow Each Other On
The Wind Ya' Know
'Cause They Got Nowhere
To Go
That's Why I Want You To
Know

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change)
(Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah)

I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish
Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No
Home, Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me,
Pretending That They're Not
Alone?

A Widow Deeply Scarred,
Somebody's Broken Heart
And A Washed-Out Dream
(Washed-Out Dream)
They Follow The Pattern Of
The Wind, Ya' See
Cause They Got No Place
To Be
That's Why I'm Starting With
Me
(Starting With Me!)

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Ooh!)
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change)

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change His
Ways
(Change His Ways-Ooh!)
And No Message Could've
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make That . . .
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make That . . .)
Change!

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror,
(Man In The Mirror-Oh
Yeah!)
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Better Change!)
No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make The Change)
(You Gotta Get It Right, While
You Got The Time)
('Cause When You Close Your
Heart)
You Can't Close Your . . .Your
Mind!
(Then You Close Your . . .
Mind!)
That Man, That Man, That
Man, That Man
With That Man In The Mirror
(Man In The Mirror, Oh Yeah!)
That Man, That Man, That Man
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Better Change!)
You Know . . .That Man
No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Oh Yeah!)
Gonna Feel Real Good Now!
Yeah Yeah! Yeah Yeah!
Yeah Yeah!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Ooooh . . .)
Oh No, No No . . .
I'm Gonna Make A Change
It's Gonna Feel Real Good!
Come On!
(Change . . .)
Just Lift Yourself
You Know
You've Got To Stop It.
Yourself!
(Yeah!-Make That Change!)
I've Got To Make That Change,
Today!
Hoo!
(Man In The Mirror)
You Got To
You Got To Not Let Yourself . . .
Brother . . .
Hoo!
(Yeah!-Make That Change!)
You Know-I've Got To Get
That Man, That Man . . .
(Man In The Mirror)
You've Got To
You've Got To Move! Come
On! Come On!
You Got To . . .
Stand Up! Stand Up!
Stand Up!
(Yeah-Make That Change)
Stand Up And Lift
Yourself, Now!
(Man In The Mirror)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Aaow!
(Yeah-Make That Change)
Gonna Make That Change . . .
Come On!
(Man In The Mirror)
You Know It!
You Know It!
You Know It!
You Know . . .
(Change . . .)
Make That Change.

Admin, thinks that this is a christian God honoring song.

"The Climb"

I can almost see it.
That dream I'm dreaming, but
There's a voice inside my head saying
You'll never reach it
Every step I'm takin'
Every move I make
Feels lost with no direction,
My faith is shakin'
But I, I gotta keep tryin'
Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down, but
No I'm not breaking
I may not know it, but
These are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep goin',
And I, I gotta be strong
Just keep pushing on, 'cause

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side
It's the climb

Yeah

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody's gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side
It's the climb

Yeah, yeah yeah

Keep on movin'
Keep climbin'
Keep the faith baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa, whoa, oh.
