I have to say that I've not experienced any of what most complain about concerning the IFB. My church does not have membership with an IFB convention or rhe like. I do know there are IFB wing nuts out there especially the New IFB with that Anderson guy. I consider all that as a Democrat considers Republicans white supremacist simply because racist democrats say so & many white supremacist consider themselves republican. We could rup apart every single denomination there is. Truth is there have been fake Christians, antichrists & wolf's in sheep's clothing for over 2,000 years.
When I left the southern Baptist church I went to an IFB one of a very few. Yes, it was different, it held to the old fashioned way of this mountain community. I'd like to say it hadn't progressed but I can't. They adhere to every word of God & use the KJV only. Old fashioned hymnal, piano & 1 acoustic guitar. That was different, no more full choir with every instrument you could think of, no jumbo tron screens, non of that. Rather than listen to a preacher that tickled my ears with boring messages that had no conviction this preacher preached the truth which I love. Simple messages with simple mountain language that didn't require a 4 year college degree. Congregants that loved the Lord and not in rush to run you over to get home.
I've read of the complaints of the KJV & that is up to everyone, all I know is that it's as close as it gets in my English language without having to take things out in order to translate into progressive language every decade or less. Women's attire, I heard women were not allowed in shorts or dresses above the knee. How I wish that was true but I have not seen that as I have seen a few women wearing short skirts showing all that leg. My wife occasionally wears camo pants to evening service. Men wear anything from dress shirts & jeans to t shirts & overalls. Never heard of a ban on dancing or even TV although it sounds good to me.
I've been to almost every denomination there is in many states. I've heard many a preacher from various denominations knock the other denominations as well of church members do it to each other. We slam each other on doctrines to where it gets so vile that one side will claim that you must not be saved. If I attended a church that did that I'd leave it. I have no problem in calling a calvanist my brother or sister or one who does not believe in pre-trib rapture as my brother or sister. I believe God is a healing God and that we should pray more for God's miracles in the church but my church doesn't go to the extreme, that don't mean I have to leave.
I believe that the spirit of judas is in every church and it has ramped up as not only the outside is against us but also those within. Not every church has all born again Spirit filled believers, many are on that broad road that leads to destruction. I'm convinced as it gets worse the closer we are to Jesus coming back. Our worst enemy is progressivism & liberalism as many believers adapt to social conditioning & justice where what was evil last year is really not that bad & is now good. I hear complaints against certain churches & the IFB for separation. Come on! That is scriptural but to those who live for compromise say it is just old fashioned. Not many find or stay on the narrow path and it's no wonder that Christ will say to many of us "I never knew you". Rather than tear each other down we had better get on our knees & pray for wisdom because many of us are being decieved especially in social media & MSM. I won't for a second try & justify any condemnation of any Christian church or denomination especially when it seems to be a constant on a lack of liberal progressivism in that church. I'm sure there are true & proven claims of other things such as certain individuals in the IFB or other denominations but I don't have those facts & the congregations will sort it out if not God will. We better wake up & pray, we've been successfully divided in this country and now it is in the body of the church, I'll not be a part of it
