Have you been vaccinated?

If you are numbers guy the vaccine is still the safer route. Death percentage of the vaccine is .003%. Death percentage of Covid itself is 1.8%. In raw numbers about 2,000 dead in US due to the vaccine (with about 1/3 of the population vaccinated) vs. 550,000 dead due to the disease.
You think he will note facts and reason?
He's a Ruckmanite for goodnes sake...so that facts and reason ship has sailed.

I guess I'm not a numbers guy because I for one seriously question that last number. Still not scaring me with Heaven.

What number would you accept?
Do you doubt COVID is ‘real‘
Do you think it was overemphasized for political reasons?
I know it was ‘real’ as I know a number who died from it.
I also have no doubt it was and still is being used for political advantage.
I have been vaccinated for COVID. I also take an annual flu shot, believe the earth is round that that the KJV is a translation.

When did I become your enemy & dart board on the FFF?
I do not take any of the flu or covid shots. I do not care if you take em, just don't try to shame me if I choose different. BTW, I do not participate in the mask mania either......never have at church either. I have not pre-existing health conditions like the majority of those who became seriously sick or may have died so I'm not scared.

It's unfortunate that TB cannot have a serious conversation without interjecting his preconceived ideas and jabs at what he thinks every IFB is and believes. He has a difficult time being gracious and has thus become like the very ones he scorns. He emulates the liberals in society who demonize conservatives as being racist and hateful while they themselves have become the pinnacle of hate and racism.

I think the number of deaths is probably inflated. When there is financial incentives to finding COVID as the cause of death that will happen. Still you can look at other nations and other data and still see it's not even close to the tiny number who may have have died from vaccination complications. I was eligible for the vaccine in January but purposefully waited until late March-I wanted it a bit of a track record and to see that it actually worked considering it is still considered experimental. Current data shows it to be very effective although there is always the possibility of long term effects. Most of what I have seen from those opposed are unfounded conspiracy theories (Bill Gates on board of directors of Moderna/Pfizer/J&J, Moderna was started by Nazis, Moderna was started by George Soros, the vaccine will alter your DNA). Other than the unknown of the long term effects I've not heard of anything other than extremely rare side effects. These side effects are so rare that you would be better off worrying about getting struck by lightning than having these reactions. Having said all of that, my vaccination works regardless of what the guy next to me does. In Libertarian fashion it's each persons decision but I will point out the crazy conspiracy theories and inconsistencies where one one won't take the vaccine because after 77 million injections as many as 2k died from complications where somewhere in the neighborhood of 500k have died of the disease itself.

It is sad but I think delightful to the enemy of our souls, when believers turn on other believers in an effort to justify their decisions.
I will continue to think for myself even if it hair-lips every dog in the neighborhood of anyone's statistics.

I didn’t intend to attack you personally.
I sincerely asked about what you felt about COVID as there are many takes in the subject.
I also pointed out that I have no doubt that numbers and information have been inflated for political reasons.
I intended to say that the truth probably was somewhere between the 2 extremes. I have helped bury a number of folks who died from COVID but at the same time our church was one of the first and the few who continued to meet during the past year. I also never mentioned masks because I also know how polarizing that subject is...but have worn the mask only when I was in public places like stores or restaurants.
I believe the response to COVID has been overblown and extreme (for the most part).
I was one of the first to take the vaccine because my wife has chronic health issues and because as a Pastor I regular ly come into contact with various and different people every day and don’t want to bring COVID home to her as her immune system is compromised. FTR I don’t care AT ALL what you do or don’t do...and If I intimated otherwise I apologize.
Perhaps my last sentence was snarky and I again apologize. While I am skeptical about much associated with COVID, I get frustrated with those who see a conspiracy theory behind every tree...not that I think you do....

I didn’t realize that I had responded to you in an ungracious way.
Evidently I have attacked positions you hold dear, which is fair game here and I don’t see that that deserves any apology or explanation. Some here hold stupid and inane positions. 😊
I don’t recall having any animosity toward you personally, but since I did, I apologize for personally attacking you.
I don‘t remember a specific incident but certainly cannot deny that it happened.

Do you mean to say that anyone who may not do as you do doesn’t think for themselves?

I don't know what you mean by "turn on other believers". I'm not trying to convince or shame you into getting any vaccine. There are conspiracy theories out there that can easily be debunked by a 13 year old with internet access but outside of that certainly there are concerns what long term effects could be. I'm nearing 50 so COVID risks are rising and long term outlook is becoming less significant so I judge it a good risk for myself. My son who is 23 and in good health has declined. Which might not be a bad idea at least for several more months until more is known. I have a friend that works for the US Public Health Service, she was very skeptical. She was not going to get it but eventually decided to go ahead. She got the J&J shot 3 days before they pulled it. She was neurotic for a few weeks after. I'll continue to speak out against some of the crazy conspiracy theories but I'm not saying that there is one right answer on the vaccine for everyone.

I got mine {the J&J} but not because I was scared. I {we} weren't planning on it {even though my wife went thru breast cancer} but it just fell into our laps, so to speak. My take is, all this "stuff" happening points to socialism and Gov. control and to see what 'they' can get away with. I'm looking UP guys. Time is short.

Tarheel ain't all that bad :). Hey dudes, this place ain't for the thin-skinned. Don't be an Aaron Rodgers.................................just toughen up.

I am nearing 70 years of age.
There are also reputable Doctors that stand against the VAX. They should NOT be discounted as conspiracy theorist because they are not in some sort of majority.

Right, but you can find individual doctors against all sorts of things. My fried from US Public Health Service wasn't as much against it as skeptical of long term effects. I think the unknown of long term effects of an experimental vaccine is reason to gather some facts before proceeding-in fact many probably are glossing over the fact that it is an experimental vaccine. But the numbers show at least in the short term its a very effective experimental vaccine. I am part of a social media site that thrives on the conspiracy theories. Seeing that they held no merit and that the vaccine was effective is what made the decision for me. One of my favorite theories that did have some truth was that Moderna was working on the vaccine 18 months before COVID first hit. They were working on laying the groundwork for a vaccine to combat the next major Corona virus to strike the world. In fact when they saw the outbreak in China they thought it might be a good Corona virus to try their new type of vaccine on, but at that point they still did not know it was a virus that was going to strike worldwide and be as deadly as it was.
